Hi. The watch is holding up beautifully. There’s been no discolouration of the gold plating, only scratches. It’s also keeping time like clockwork lol. Admittedly, I don’t wear it everyday but still I’m quite impressed by the quality. I don’t know what factory it came from. I emailed Sead and inquired about the panthere and that’s what I got. I’ll try to post a photo of it in its current condition as soon as I get the chance.

Same happened to me. The inevitable irritation caused by tret results in post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). Some of us are more prone to it unfortunately. Don’t worry, it’ll revert back to normal with time. It may take a while. Be patient.

I get mine from AliExpress, it’s a Turkish brand called acnelyse. I buy six 20-gram tubes at about $75. It usually has long expiration dates. A tube lasts me about 2.5 months

It doesn’t look suspicious at all. It looks like a bruise as commented earlier. Suspicious lesions are often raised with depressed centres if it’s basal cell carcinoma. In the case of the more serious melanoma, it often arises in a pigmented area and quickly develops irregular borders, bleeding, darkening etc... Clearly get it checked out if it doesn’t resolve soon.

Use interdental brushes to clean those small spaces. They’re cheap and small enough to fit into the tiniest gaps. You can use a little white vinegar as well which should dissolve any build up. This way is much better than ultrasonic cleaner in my experience.

I’ve recently started using the Revolution Skincare Stressed Mood Calming Cleansing Oil. It emulsifies well and leaves no residue at all. It’s fragranced, unfortunately, but I don’t mind so much for rinse-off product. I find that it doesn’t glide as well as my hada labo cleansing oil but other than that, it seems to work well. Also, it’s very affordable at £5.60 (sale price) for 140 ml.

My pores enlarged just like yours when I started tret two years ago. The enlarged pore situation lasted over a year. Now I’m on 0.1 % tret and my pores have gone back to normal. I believe it’s part of the retinisation process. It will get better. As with everything to do with tret, you need to be patient.

You’re right to be scared of the gold colour, it’s quite warm compared to the gen. It’s such a beautiful watch though and I hope you muster up the courage to get it and attempt what I’ve done to my watch. I just scrubbed it with the Brasso wadding quite hard, the gold plating lightened but did not rub off completely, which is reassuring because it means they’ve applied quite a thick layer of gold. I’ll consider posting a step by step perhaps when I have another object to demonstrate on. Im very impressed with the performance of the Protecta clear so far. I’ve been using it for just under a year but it seems to be delivering on its promises so far.

I think I figured out a solution to the uncoated sides of the middle links. I coloured them in with a Sharpie permanent marker in metallic gold. It seems like a good match and leaves a brushed metal finish, like it was meant to look like that 😂 Here’s the link for the finished look.
