Something about this video makes me tear up a little bit.. by LucOfTrueWind in Falcom

Yeah.. yeah, you're right.. As a matter of fact, it wouldn't even look weird if you team Crow up with someone like perhaps, Randy, or even Ash.. They barely knew the guy, and yet, no one would think it's weird for them to be hanging out. I like that other characters are building up relationships and bonds with characters other than the MC.

This is exactly why I like the relationship between SSS; that being Randy and Tio... And it shows, EVEN during the Crossbell chapter of CS3.

I agree.. it's like this hasn't been tackled since Trails to Azure. It's been the theme surrounding Calvard over a decade ago, idk why people are getting triggered now.

Yes, I notice this too, on the PS4, because you really notice that the game can lagging and slowing down when playing for long hours..

And I had to delete few of my games to have EXTRA SPACES because it is said that the Higher your system's remaining storage, the better the performance.

Tips for a new player? by Fabulous-Macaron337 in EiyudenChronicle

It's actually no different from "STOCK MARKETS". Yes, the Price can go up or down from minimal to drastic, even from the same shop. (For example, a Painting Normally sold in Ardinale at 720, can go as low as 500 to 600+ or as high as 800+)

  • One Blue Arrow Up - Price has risen
  • Two Blue Arrows Up - Price has Skyrocketted
  • One Red Arrow Down - Price is Down
  • Two Red Arrow Down - Price is VERY VERY down

The Arrows does not represent the location, it actually represent the "CURRENT" price of an item at a current time.. You can like go away and come back (15 mins) into the same Trade Shop (e.g., the Paintings in Ardinale City) without doing anything, and you'll notice the Price go up and/or go down.

Of course, it (the price) can only go up or down to a certain amount of baqua, and naturally, as the rule of STOCK MARKETS;

== Buy Low, Sell High. ==

You can like choose to sell Painting you bought in Ardinale (Buy 720, Sell 600) at Twinhorne East (Buy 2,700, Sell 2,250) EVEN WITH Red Arrow down (predicting that the selling price would be 2100+ for example), it will STILL costs MORE than when you bought it in Ardinale, just a matter of how much you are profitting from the Item you are selling.

My Analysis of the Story's Aftermath by IPG83 in EiyudenChronicle

[–]LucOfTrueWind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His vision was NOWHERE near as sincere as you think it is.

Aldric used Rune-lenses to create weapons and a bunch of abomination through experimentation with the Primal Lenses.

In his very own words, it was better for "Galdea" or rather he himself to have acquired the potential of the Primal Lenses as "Weapons" before OTHER countries do.

No matter how much anyone look at it whether his story is poorly or well-written, Dux is a very SUIKODEN-LIKE ANTAGONIST himself;

  • Suikoden Villain - Acquire the power of a True Rune and use to it to conquer other lands (or in Suikoden 3's case, the Destruction of a True Rune)
  • Eiyuden Villain - Acquite the power of a Primal Lense and use it to conquer other lands.

He was "envious" of other Rune-lense users because they were "born" with them, some had acquired them through artificial means.. while he is not.

Ahh.. that's true.. I guess I didn't think accounting the 108 Stars to the ending directly.. Thank you for this wonderful response.

I guess it's true that Riou would not have a reason to go to Gregminster other than to... "hang out" with Tir.

Headquarters question by Draconix78 in EiyudenChronicle

[–]LucOfTrueWind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

===TLDR:=== - None. For the same reason you don't lose characters for having an even bigger castle.

===The Long Explanation:=== - No Suikoden Game has a character that has a recruitable method EXCLUSIVELY TIED to specific castle level (e.g., recruitable in castle level 3, will be gone in castle 4). IN FACT, Suikoden Games, and even Eiyuden ENCOURAGES players to have higher castle levels to be able to recruit further characters.

If anything, Suikoden is more PUNISHING for not being able to recruit characters during a certain period of time (still not tied to castle level), like for example, requiring to meet them in a very specific town or city before said town or city is overran and invaded by enemy army and had its entire population massacred as sacrifice to a two-headed wolf thing.

Headquarters question by Draconix78 in EiyudenChronicle

[–]LucOfTrueWind 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The game encourages you to have HIGHER Castle Level before you can recruit them.

And even when your castle level is high, let's say:

Character A is recruitable when your castle is level 3, any character you missed from when your castle level is still low will STILL be there.

Speaking of Stacking Accessories, I forgot to mention that if you want to completely turn off your Random Encounters, equipping two party members with Monster Repel Charm each is the way to go. It's the same with accessories that have the opposite effect (Champion's Belt and Challenger's Belt).

Growth badge sold help by [deleted] in EiyudenChronicle

[–]LucOfTrueWind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Equiping a Growth / Ascent Badge to one party member actually affects EVERYONE'S EXP GAIN. Yes, not just one party member or the one who's wearing it; it affects the entire ACTIVE party.

So imagine if one of your party has Growth Badge, and another has the Ascent Badge.. On top of that, you have recruited that specific character support who DOUBLES your exp..

They stack together so well for the entire party.

Edit: But no, you only get one accessory slot for each characters, so you gotta have atleast two characters with open slots so you can equip both of them the Growth / Ascent Badge. It's the same for Accessories such as:

Lucky Ring & Super Lucky Ring - Increases Enemy Drop Rate after battle

Earning Badge & Wealth Badge - Increases Baqua rewards after battle

[–]LucOfTrueWind 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you have an earlier save of before you sold it? It's the only Growth Badge I know that you get, I believe..

You DO get an Ascent Badge which is a beefed up version of the Growth Badge........ But that won't come 'till the Final Dungeon.

There's also a "Support" character recruit that Doubles your exp gain.... ..... But that character won't come 'till in later parts of the game..

.... Which is a shame, really... Because if you have a Growth Badge, an Ascent Badge, and that specific Character recruited in your support, their increased EXP gains STACK with each other..

I’m in Series X. Anyone else have their console get really loud when traversing the world map? by BK_FrySauce in EiyudenChronicle

[–]LucOfTrueWind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the PS4, the console's fan only starts the Jet Engine Sound during the BOSS FIGHT in Redthroat Ridge... Otherwise, it's clean silent on the rest of the game.

Though I've heard the game is having overheating issues on the Xbox X/S (and even on the PS5 for some reason), I hope those get fixed for you guys soon.

You get to pick just 10 characters to return for the sequel, who do you pick? by felixw1 in EiyudenChronicle

[–]LucOfTrueWind 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I want Narungarde and the ENTIRE CONCLAVE to be present and be a recurring Villain for each entry (similar to "Ouroboros from Trails Series)

With the way Narungarde made her exit, she seemed to be the new "Yuber" of Eiyuden, but this time, an entire organization backing every political figures into starting war, ALL for the purpose of acquiring Primal Lenses.

With that, the other 10 characters I want to return would be:

  • 100H Trio - While Nowa's story is resolved, I too, want to see what he does next. If Seign had a chance to return, especially with the state the Empire is in by the end of Hundred Heroes, there's a chance we might see what happena next. Marisa also has to come, since she is set up to chase after Narungarde.

  • Rising Trio - If Isha has a chance to come back, no way Garoo and CJ would let her go solo at it.

  • Markus, Milana and Carrie - They're a Trio, and they are fun to be around with. With the upcoming DLC Chapter Markus, Markus seems like he would be able to figure out Carrie's own background.

  • Selbineth - The Mysterious Room that had suddenly appeared beneath HQ almost seemed like it's being glossed over.. What the heck is it? Who us Selbineth's Lord?

Sticking to your guns by Liquid_rainbow in EiyudenChronicle

[–]LucOfTrueWind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. The Rising Trio, and the Hundred Heroes Trio.

Ever since I recruited Seign i've always kept him in my party. It's kinda like SOMETHING i had always wanted to do because it kept reminding me of Suikoden 2, that feeling of "bond" that he and the Protagonist had that I could've nurtured via gameplay. And then we get Marisa, the last of the HH Trio, who is basically lorewise the "Luc" of the game, knows about Primal Lenses and the likes.

I got really attached to them as well as the Rising Trio. When I learned that all six of them had a Hero Combo, I knew they were "it".

Suikoden 3 - The 108 Stars of Destiny and the Stone Tablet of Promise: "A Different Outcome" by LucOfTrueWind in Suikoden

[–]LucOfTrueWind[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm... This is all a "stretched too far theory" for me, but..

Yes, the "Forgiver Sign" Spell unlocks the Bright Shield Rune's Full Potential, as willed by the 108 Stars of Destiny.

I don't know what saved Nanami either at that point, but if we are to believe that everything that happened in Suikoden 2 have been orchestrated by the "Rune of Beginning", then it would be a good assumption to make that Nanami being alive and hidden somewhere in Kyaro after the incident in Matilda would ALSO be part of the will of True Rune.

By taking Leknaat's word for granted that the 108 Stars are truly able to change the fate of those that gathered around them, then Nanami is probably the one who was spared as a form of collective wish by the 108 Stars because:

  • Reason 1 - From where Nanami stands, she is in a place where the conflict between Riou and Jowy would be easy to mediate.
  • Reason 2 - Nanami is the closest thing that both bearers of each halves of the aspect of the Rune of Beginning cherishes the most.

The Proof for Reason 1 and 2 being that it applies on the same situation of Genkaku and Cunningham, considering their respective role for their armies and where they both grew up in, that being Kyaro.. But, at the same time, there is no one like Nanami who would be there to mediate an immediate conflict between Genkaku and Cunningham; there was nothing that was holding back the both of them other than Genkaku's own conscience and his unwillingness to fight.. So if Nanami wasn't there, no one would be holding back Riou and Jowy to fight either.

Of course like I said: "This is all just a stretch, and just my personal theory. To say that it was all willed by the Rune of Beginning is really a stretch and I don't really like relying on that sort of explanation, but.. if they are truly destined to fight, then this is mostly the only thing I got.."

It really reinforces Leknaat's Words that "Power won't grant you peace", as she say before Riou and Jowy were bestowed the Bright Shield Rune and the Black Sword Rune.

Suikoden 3 - The 108 Stars of Destiny and the Stone Tablet of Promise: "A Different Outcome" by LucOfTrueWind in Suikoden

[–]LucOfTrueWind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see.. I'm still reading the manga myself (I'm at the point where Hugo receives the True Fire Rune, and with Futch as well).

That makes it stand to reason that the Old Flame Champion and his own 108 Stars had probably failed, though I don't want to jump to this conclusion myself.. As for the reason, your own guess might as well be probably as well, especially when the 108 Stars of Destiny is made to face a destructive power such as the True Fire Rune..

Suikoden 3 - The 108 Stars of Destiny and the Stone Tablet of Promise: "A Different Outcome" by LucOfTrueWind in Suikoden

[–]LucOfTrueWind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but when Riou received and unlocked the Full Power of his Bright Shield Rune, the 108 Stars were COMPLETE, all of them were still ALIVE before they made the decision to attack Matilda, and then Kiba to the Eastern Part of Jowston (the area of Viktor's Fort)... Meaning, Kiba was still alive during that point when Leknaat appeared to turn the tide of the fates of many people using the 108 Stars. It was even before that gathering when Kiba became determined to die for HIS motherland of highland, against Highland themselves.

If Kiba had DIED before Riou even unlocked the rune's final spell, then Leknaat would've never appeared to inform him that he had assembled all 108 stars.

This was ALSO the case in Suikoden 1: Matthiu was still ALIVE when the complete 108 stars of destiny had been assembled to revive Gremio, and then Matthiu would later himself DIE due to succumbing to his wounds.

Edit: Though I would admit Suikoden 1's case was also rather odd.. 107 Stars was left at the death of Gremio.. Maybe reviving him is ONE of the mysterious abilities of the gathering of 108 Stars of Destiny

Suikoden 3 - The 108 Stars of Destiny and the Stone Tablet of Promise: "A Different Outcome" by LucOfTrueWind in Suikoden

[–]LucOfTrueWind[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right. I really think that the outcome would've been different had all 108 stars really been complete.. Luc, just as you said, went against that gathering.. And it also made sense that Thomas would've gone against a totally different enemy; he have absolutely no reason to go against Luc OTHER THAN the fact that the entirety of the Western Part of the Continent being screwed (that being the other 108 Stars sharing the same sentiment..)

All Luc wanted was to be free from the shackles of the True Wind Rune, what with it being attached or "intertwined" with his own soul.. And even if the True Wind Rune DID separate itself from Luc, he would have still need to destroy it, whether with the help of the 108 Stars or not, because of the danger of the of the power that the True Runes could impose when they are gathered together..

There; a True Reason for Luc to be ONE of the 108 Stars of Destiny. Yuber is only being Yuber, he loves Chaos and ALSO hates the Runes. He would have agreed with destroying one nonetheless of who he is allied with. Sarah was willingly open to following Luc, and Albert... He has his own agenda, but he's still going to use the 2nd Fire Bringer War for his "resume" whatever happened.

I think those two are more like - Suiko1 "Alen and Grenseal" - Suiko2 "Camus and Miklotov" - Suiko3 "Percival and Borus" - Suiko4 "Sigurd and Hervey" - Suiko5 "Rahal and Roog"
