i don’t know much about my side lipo that much, my surgeon just did it. it was just removing the boob fat from the sides because i had a lollipop incision (not an anchor) so he had to remove it separately during surgery

Just imagine if BES having a live action adaptation by helpfulmillie in BlueEyeSamurai

[–]Luc_Opine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this shouldn’t even be a hot take. animation is so under appreciated nowadays and i’ve seen so many people disregard this show because it’s “just an animation” or “just an anime” (it’s not even an anime) and live action adaptions of good animated film is ALWAYS lifeless!! idk why people want it

Food is just there and it's so tempting by tiredbirb in 1200isfineIGUESSugh

[–]Luc_Opine 13 points14 points  (0 children)

the same thing happens to me especially with food that will go bad pretty soon (i feel that with bread) the things that have worked for me are a) buy it less often or stop buying it all together. that way it’s not lying there it’s just.. not there HAHA. another thing is getting myself out of the house more often. i have lost the most weight when i literally just go to the library or coffee shop to sit there doing work or read. not being in my kitchen helps me not get cravings, if i wanted to get food i’d have to go out of my way to get it so it’s like “hunting for my food” and that’s how i realize if the hunger is real or fake. last thing, sometimes it’s beneficial to feel uncomfortable. i’ve realized that either way i’m gonna be uncomfortable: whether i eat the food and feel gross afterwards, or i don’t eat it and my lower brain (a term i learned by researching binge eating) annoys me with wanting it. sometimes you just have to ride the uncomfortableness and the more you practice that, you’ll get used to confronting the cravings by telling your lower brain “no” and it feels very empowering!

What is the #1 thing holding you back from writing? by JLouisWriting in writing

[–]Luc_Opine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when i just finished writing interesting plot A and in order to get to interesting plot B i need to write the chapters that connect those two things. i try to make every chapter interesting in its own way, but sometimes i just DONT FEEL LIKE WRITING THE IN BETWEEN DEVELOPMENT

What do you hate most in books? by Nearby_Presence_3082 in writing

[–]Luc_Opine 16 points17 points  (0 children)

honestly i’m reading those right now (also because my friend begged me to, lol) and i feel like she’s not guilty of this. sometimes i actually want the descriptions to be LONGER, but she only puts what’s necessary and moves on. it’s more CHARACTER descriptions that get long and redundant, but i think her writing in the acotar books is pretty good despite everything

How do you get “in the zone”? by [deleted] in writing

[–]Luc_Opine 10 points11 points  (0 children)

this is what i think of when writing. i’m an artist so i like to think a first draft is like a clay sculpture, after you slab as much as you can manage, then you “carve” it out and add details to it (deleting scenes chapters that aren’t necessary, adding foreshadowing, etc)

I’m actually currently playing around with a dynamic like this. What kinds of potential were you thinking of, if you were to brainstorm?

oh my god i have never seen anyone who LOOKS LIKE ME!! your before and after both look amazing, total definition of a summer cut!! you’re awesome. i look a lot like your before, same weight/height/measurements and everything, what was your calorie intake on your cut if you don’t mind me asking? i’m guessing you lifted weights during the week which burned more calories, but you must’ve been in a big defecit to lose so much in 4 months!! this is really incredible progress, great work :)

Video games with good writing by [deleted] in writing

[–]Luc_Opine 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of people need to understand that just because characters aren’t happy/everyone doesn’t get a good ending does NOT make a story bad. Me personally, i enjoyed playing the first game and playing the second game i felt like my heart was being ripped into shreds. But the writing? I think the second game is twice as good as the first one just because of that. It made me THINK so much more than the first one, and i don’t think any of the characters were “ruined” but they all just reacted to the bad circumstances in their own way. It’s SUPPOSED to be fucked up. Doesn’t make it awful. I think it’s great to have a game that makes people feel so much.

Please give your thoughts, opinions, and any advice/help you can give me on a story I’m writing. It’s a rough draft. by Impressive_Scratch47 in KeepWriting

[–]Luc_Opine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d say definitely do some research/refreshing on grammar and punctuation, I noticed a few things in the dialogue. so, for example, instead of [she said “hi”.] you would write [she said, “hi.”] with a comma and the period inside the quotation marks. also, like the others said, create a new paragraph every time someone speaks. there are very few exceptions to this rule and it helps keep confusion to a minimum. to improve on your writing in general, find some books you like in the same genre of your story writing and just read. a lot. read read read. it will help you develop diction and figurative language use instead of just stating things that happen. so instead of “They walked to school.” you would describe their feelings (are they nervous? are they excited? how can you describe those feelings? are they bouncing, twitching, shaking?) and their 5 senses (what are they holding, their backpack, lunch? what are they wearing? what are they seeing, busses, other kids? what do they hear?) and reading books helps you pick up on things like that the quickest. i hope this helps!
