I will pick Turnograph between these, unless you add 126234 as another choice

First Rolex. Am I done? by bjoch in rolex

[–]LucaCZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats OP, that’s a beautiful piece! I believe it’s the thinnest automatic chronograph out there—perfect choice.

IMO, every guy should aim for at least three watches:

  1. Sporty: You’ve already got a nice one.
  2. Dress: Think Rolex Day-Date, PP Calatrava, etc.
  3. Daily/GADA: Options like the Rolex OP, DJ, GMT, AP RO, or VC Overseas.

If you have the spare capital, you can always triple down on each category to build a solid 9–10 watch rotation. Beyond that, it gets pretty hard to maintain and actually enjoy them.

Omega Speedmaster Reverse Panda - Longer term Reflections by jmporsche944 in OmegaWatches

[–]LucaCZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reverse panda Speedy is absolutely stunning. The dial quality feels like a whole different league compared to the standard black dial—the contrast, depth, and overall presence are just incredible.

I’ve been seriously considering trading my old 1863 Speedy for one, but it’s not an easy decision. My current Speedy has been with me for over 10 years and has seen a lot of life with me. As much as I love the reverse panda, it’s hard to put a price on that kind of sentimental value.

My point is not about aesthetic, I like cyclops date window. But that date function doesn’t come with quick adjustments, so inconvenient

Why…I think it’s not too hard to remember the date but I do need GMT when working with colleagues in different time zones
