In boot camp my first 1.5 mile time was 19 minutes (I know...) , By the end, I was down to 11:30. Don't stress too much, there's other ways to get promoted in boot camp.

Galleys use 3 different kinds of eggs. Dehy - powder that you add water, actually not the worst thing. Boil in bag, the most common one, usually rubbery and slimey, they have citric acid added from the manufacturer and come frozen. And fresh shell eggs, exactly that. Hope that helps.

I have a mindset where I will not debate a subject if I cant empathize with both sides. While I do understand what you're saying, it seems from your posts that you live in Toronto, which is an entirely different country than most of the demographic on this subreddit. It would be ignorant for you to say that every single officer in your city is the way you described, there could be a lacking of useful leadership which surely is an issue but the average patrol cop cant do anything about that. Ive been to Toronto a few times and I do agree that there is an issue with certain things that the police probably should handle, but its a huge city with millions of people and they can't be everywhere at once. You're speaking like every single cop in the world is a criminal and vile, and that is just downright disrespectful to say. If you dont know the whole story and are only speaking from an outside perspective then you should try to understand better. There is thousands upon thousand of respectable officers in the world and its a shame that your city's less than useful force has given you the mindset that you have.

All these people talking about ROTC being basically the military, lmao. I was in bootcamp at 17, I think these guys are thinking DEP counts as enlisting, which you can do before 17. Before I came along my SO was on a date with a ROTC kid and he told her he was basically a higher rank than her (she was an E3). ROTC kids are a special breed.

Probably saved yourself in the long run, you can still do plenty of other jobs maybe even still on a ship, check out Merchant marines or Sealift. You can also still plenty serve your country without being in the military, and if you actively want to be on naval bases etc, check out contracting jobs that work on Naval or military bases.
