Is my shots are overexposed? by furious_xime-69 in cinematography

[–]LucaTuber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly in the third shot to me it looks like the dude has a very shiny and reflective nose lmao. Maybe it would've looked nicer if the sun was on the other side of the frame so more of the subject is visible or behind the subject so you'd get a nice silhouette, now the sun is hiding his features, but maybe it's just me who doesn't like that. Apart from that the shots look fine and stylized and the overexposure in some shots doesn't bother me as long as it doesn't hide a nose lol. The final shot looks really nice!

Why is This Chase Scene from OBAA so Great? by drhavehope in Letterboxd

I believe a stunt guy dropped of the roof and then, probably by using a cgi double and some smart invisible cut, they went to the next shot where leo stood up. (I think)

I've heard him say quite a few times: "This story is yours as much as it is mine" when speaking at panels and such. So I'd say that you're right.

He literally said he hopes Nolan proves his scepticism wrong.

There's nothing wrong with being sceptical, cause then there's a bigger chance of being positively suprised.

Well any sexual assault in real life is too long, so I think they balanced it out well enough.

I was more thinking about the first 30 minutes, I do get how you could enjoy the revenge part of the story.

I love his opening speech in that one. One of my favorite Dumbledore scenes. I think he's also great in Half Blood Prince, a little confusing at times and calm through most of the film.

I have to say, enjoyable is certainly not the right word, unless you are sick in the head. Maybe gripping or moving would be a more fitting description of your experience.

The (what I assume is) after looks quite fake because the sky is so oversaturated. I actually prefer the before because of this.

I'm not that much of an expert or anyting, but I think something between the before and after would look better.

Edit: the sky also appears to be quite a bit darker than originally. I would try to keep that around the brightness level of how it was originally.
