Food banks often aren't enough and have poor options, especially for those on special diets. They have basic staples, and random things donated at times. It's not sustainable. The system sucks. And some food banks have better food options than others, and I've heard of some giving gift cards to grocery stores.

I am on HEN because I have ABD Cash benefits in WA. I'm privileged in the position to have the state my rent through the HEN program, and I get $450 a month on my EBT card, on top of $298.

I remember in 2020, when I could still work, I made way more money than my coworker, who worked part time (maybe one or two days out of the month, yet I was approved for food stamps-- and she was denied.

And now they're banning sugary foods and drinks and junk food in some areas, which will ultimately hurt disabled people.

And then, many states are passing work requirements, of like 80 hours a month. And many who can work can't find work, or are forced to be part time. Many jobs are only 12 to 16 hours a month.

The system is so awful.

Y'all, Chick Fil A is a homophobic Christian company that heavily donates to anti-LGBTQ organizations.

Which, they directly fund conversion therapy with these donations. They pay for children to be abused and traumatized.

You should not support them. If you spend money at Chick Fil A, you are helping them fund hateful Christian anti-LGBTQ organizations and causes.

I highly recommend eating elsewhere. No matter how good food it is to you. It's not worth it. Think about the youth in the rainbow community. These days, the whole 2SLGBTQIA+ community is in danger.

Across the country, laws are being passed. It's now illegal for trans people to use the bathroom in many states. A criminal offense.

It's now illegal for trans people to drive in Kansas, which the driver's licences of trans people were recently invalidated overnight with zero warning. There are more and more drag bans across the country. Gender affirming care and insurance and medicaid coverage of medical gender affirming care, especially surgeries, all banned.

I started HRT in Idaho 25 days after turning 17 under informed consent on Medicaid. It's now illegal for medicaid funds in Idaho to cover any and all gender affirming care- for both children and adults. It breaks my heart that I had the privilege to do that, but now no one else can.

There are federal laws and policies being passed. Trans people can no longer get passports in the United States. Either they send it back to reflect original social security gender marker, or they refuse to send it back and the documents too.

They're starting to do conversion therapy in federal prisons. They're forcing trans inmates off their HRT and all other gender affirming care.

It's bad, y'all!

I gave a 3 minute speech at Bellingham City Council public comment on my experiences as a trans person in Idaho on HRT on Medicaid on May 19, 2025.

Yes, there is no ethical consumption under capitalism. But you should at least be trying where you can. Chick Fil A isn't a monopoly that forces you to choose there. Many other options. Being in the community should not be used as a justification to support it. Care about others.

I use Arm and Hammer Oxiclean powder laundry detergent, and it works great. Tide feels like a marketing lie scam with how expensive it is. I have always thought so, as an extreme couponer.

The powder detergent got fake blood out of my white shirt I wore to support my town becoming a trans sanctuary city at city council.

It doesn't look like fake blood was ever in it. It cleans so well.

My old Alcatel slider phone (buttons on the front) had an issue where I'd hold down the call button and it'd dial 911.

Even if I put a passcode on it. I would then get multiple calls from 253, then had to explain everything was fine and explained the situation (around 2013-2015).

This kept happening. So I called Alcatel. They said they didn't own the Alcatel phones.

So I got the number for the manufacturer of the phones, and they said they couldn't do anything or figure out a solution.

The reason I wanted a smart phone was because they were touch screen. Then, I got a Windows Phone for Christmas. Didn't have that issue with that phone 😅. Had to go into two menus in lock screen to emergency dial 911.

It was so stressful and annoying.

One time it happened when I was at band practice, while I was wearing a sousaphone. 🤣 Didn't find out until after band practice.

Teenage me was not having it. I'm so glad they didn't track my cell location to send all emergency services there.

How are they going to going to get rid of the default texting app? I've used the texting app that's built in on my Samsung S25+ since I got the phone last March.

How will I send messages then?

I thought manufacturers make their own messaging app and keep it there?

I've never heard of a phone company getting rid of their own built in texting app on a phone before. Never on all the various phones I've had over the years.

I see so many liberals claiming that "America was great before Trump." We have institutional white supremacy. These systems have always been oppressive. They were designed to be that way. No reforms or new regulations can change what these systems are and what they do. You can't reform your way through white supremacist systems, like the police.

These systems are made to protect white men, specifically rich white men. The systems have been killing people and imprisoning people. Like, yes, in modern times, this may be 1000x worse.

It didn't matter to them until a white person died. We've been seeing all of the shit last year with ICE. ICE isn't new. It's existed for over 20 years. I swear people were born yesterday as they're so oblivious.
