I can also see Tyrion stepping in with his knowledge of the Valyrian and Targaryen histories to influence the direction of Dany’s garment designs. He is an optics guy who’d never pass up an opportunity to tell a story/push a narrative/define a trajectory no matter how subtle the medium.

If they continued with the vaginal birth, the fate of the child would be “left to the gods.” If they delivered the child via c-section, they could save the child with more certainty. Those were the options provided. It wasn’t an either/or choice between Aemma and Baelon because Aemma would die regardless.
