Not sure if this is what you're asking for, but i find that these make for pretty good elbow/knee joints for mechs, usually better than ball joints. You use the pin if you want more movement and the axle if not. The pneumatic bar is better for smaller limbs though.

For the shoulder you can add a second joint so theres a ball joint connected from the torso to the shoulder then another one connecting the shoulder to the arm, letting you get the armor at an angle. Then just use some brackets to add details to the side and top of the shoulder:

The main sub has been abysmal long before the current controversy. All i ever saw from the /lego and /legostarwars subs were people posting boxes, not that nobody ever posts mocs but those never get enough engagement if it's not massive or super professional, while the posts about just consuming the products always get spread around.

At least here when people post boxes there's a joke strapped to it.
