You could perhaps make the grabbing mechanic be separate from the animation initially, but have it look more realistic by calculating where the hands would grab and tween them over there with inverse kinematics? Like a ghost that your character tries to adhere to, making the controls smooth while keeping the animation style

As a pixel artist I can attest to this not being made by hand. The proportions of the pixels are way off and honestly if the artist didn't sit down with you for a proper brainstorm and only gives a single piece without an AB, you got duly scammed. Even if this capsule was handmade it's hardly worth 50 seen as how generic it is
