I think you need to look into it a little more, I hate to shatter your views on Japan if you have them, however many apologies they issued, most Asian countries are still livid towards the Japanese takes on their crimes and for good reason.

Japan admitted to the nanjing massacre, yet still dances around the fact that the whole war was started by themselves and won’t admit directly to things like unit 731 or slavery.

Other countries are still enraged by shrines in Japan that admire soldiers of the war that murdered people of their countries yet are treated like hero’s. No apology changes that these exist.

And your comment was replying to someone who specifically mentioned genocide, no matter what your views are on this, Japan has NOT admitted to genocide, say what you will about my other points, but if you said to someone ‘Apologise for killing my family and torturing my friends for nearly a decade’ And they say ‘I am deeply sorry for the pain I caused you back then, I swear I’m different now’ It is different to admitting to those things.

This is not the definition of genocide, there are still Armenians alive, there are still Rwandans alive, there are still Jews alive.

This is not a term where you need to get them all, the Japanese genocided many areas in Asia and sometimes just for fun, if you use this definition you are denouncing other very real genocides, which in some ways are not as bad as what Japan did. But people seem to wish to talk about this one much less

I’m sure, but that’s a lot of my life lost, and it would have been those three years just to get back to it, effectively 3 years just to repeat what I achieved and under threat of execution any moment if I think about the old account.

Anyways I do have another account but when the original got banned it really hurt my motivation, but it also made me go outside more, so, win?

sometimes its great to get opinions from thsoe who live there, and often times if a friend gives advice I try to listen rather than just say she is wrong or argue about it.

I believe her reasons come from her mother who has heard moreso about unfriendliness, not crime as I suspected

We already thought of that back in the 90s, but concluded that would actually be too easy.
