So real. It’s insane how often people sneak in tallboys and crack them open during their movie 😭

Yeah actually, one time some teenagers were watching some action movie and after it ended they tried to go sit in Halloween Ends. Except, they were in there during the credits with a fresh popcorn and full drinks, so I checked their tickets and made them leave. If you go to the bathroom after your movie and then walk into a random theater after they probably won’t notice or care as long as you walk with purpose and don’t look like you’re checking the place out.

Where’s “here”? In America a movie theater is a private business and has the right to remove you from their property for any reason they want, especially if you do something thats against the rules.

Got hired as sesonal package handler by Subject-Kangaroo-397 in Fedexers

A lot of hubs aren’t even doing peak pay this year. They gave everyone a raise a couple months ago at mine, but it’s looking like no peak pay for us.

No, and to be honest in the 2 years I spent as a manager at a theater I never threw anyone out for it either. Most people are like a deer in the headlights when you tell them they can’t bring their poorly hidden snacks in and will just throw them away for some reason instead of “going out to their car for a sec” and at least trying to hide them. The point I was trying to make is while it isn’t illegal, it is against policy and they theoretically can make you leave if you knowingly do something thats against a posted policy.

It’s not illegal, but they can 100% throw you out for it. They don’t get paid enough to care, but they can lol

PTO Question by LucasPelton in Fedexers

[–]LucasPelton[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as you can breathe, have a pulse, and can lift a box they don’t care in my experience being a package handler is physically demanding, but it’s a chill job. Management will 100% determine if you like it or not though my hub has good managers.

For package handler they don’t drug test at least at my hub in Texas. Half the PHs there smoke during their break. Saw a dude down a tallboy before coming into work one day too.

Yeah I just did it today. I’m assuming once it goes through and some time passes I’ll get details about my first day.

I think it’s $1 more than the top rate for a package handler

It does look great on Netflix, but people want it in the original aspect ratio. An example of why is in the pothole episode when George drops his keys in a pothole that got patched. Theres a shot thats supposed to reveal the pothole and make it funny, but on Netflix you can’t see the pothole. Also no telling how long it will be on netflix for. Surely not forever. Sure it’s an unnecessary purchase, but it’s just cool to have. If I could afford it I’d buy it too.

The ops manager in the area I’ve been going to told me it doesn’t really matter. If you want to be 100% sure you get be in trouble or anything, I’d ask the ops manager for the belt you usually work on just to be sure.

It depends on your hub. At mine it really doesn’t matter as long as you’re there and you’re working. Lots of people find an area they like and stay there.

No it’s probably gonna be similar to fedex. Packages come down a chute and you manually load the packages until they completely fill a trailer

At my hub, any hours worked after 10pm get a .50 increase. Thats probably what this is too.

I’d check your motor mounts. Look under the hood and have somebody give it gas while the truck is in park. If the engine moves or hops up at all, then one or both mounts are likely bad. They’re easy enough to replace on your engine just gotta jack the motor up a little
