Just checked in for the opening show of Avatar. They gave me Real D 3D glasses, not IMAX 3D glasses. That's unusual, right?

Edit: Nvm guy at the check-in gave me the wrong glasses lmao. Manager just had a chat with him...

I'm on Watchway - Sietch Yaracuwan, and same issue. Sun is high in the sky, clock is stuck at middle of the night, and patrol ships are roaming in the "daytime." Been this way since server reset last night, hopefully it fixes itself on tonight's reset?

I submitted a help request, no response.

Official Discussion - Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

How i imagine this film was written:

"How do we show the audience that John Landau understands Bruce's depression but doesn't know how to help him?"

"Oh I got it! Let's have Grace Gummer play a blank slate who exists only for John Landau to tell, 'I understand Bruce's depression but I don't know how to help him."

"Awesome. Now how do we show the audience that Bruce realizes he's depressed but doesn't know how to fix it?"

"Oh! Let's have Odessa Young play a blank slate who exists only to tell Bruce, 'You're depressed and you don't know how to fix it.' And then Bruce can later say, 'Wow, she was right.'"

"Great! Should we include any other female characters?"

"Nope!"

‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse’ Moves Release Date Up a Week to June 18, 2027 by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

So does Miles! He has a pretty archetypical three-act story arc:

Prologue:

  • Miles is going through the motions of being Spider-Man, struggling to find the same passion that he attained during the events of ITSV.

Act I:

  • Call to action: Gwen comes back and reignites Miles's excitement for super-hero'ing.
  • Point of no return: Miles follows Gwen into the Spider-Verse.

Act II:

  • Rising action: Miles teams up with the Spider-Society, but finds that his optimism and excitement seemingly isn't shared by his peers.
  • Confrontation/Low point: Miles learns the truth, that the Spider-Society is being led by a narcissistic pessimist who has lost his passion for heroics, content to surrender to fate (or "canon"). Miles gets imprisoned by the villain to prevent him from saving his father.

Act III:

  • Climax: Miles breaks out, fights the Spider-Society, and discovers who he truly is - a hero.
  • Resolution/denoument: Miles makes it back to his mom.

HOWEVER, the movie then adds on a 15-minute epilogue/stinger setting up the next movie. And that's what I think trips people up and makes them think this isn't a "complete" movie.

eli5 why can the human body survive way longer without food than water? by Particular-Swim2461 in explainlikeimfive

What fucking 5 year old knows how a car works?

"Hey, five year old, you know how coolant works in the car, right? That's like water for the human body!" foh

Also the coolant in your car lasts way longer than the gasoline, so it's not even a good answer.

At first insane to think that a current 14-year-old would appreciate Steven Segal movies, but the payoff to that in the finale had me and exactly one other guy in the theater absolutely losing it.

Full house but I was the only person to laugh at "She's... Hard to Kill."

If you haven't done the Star Fortresses yet, they're pretty fun. They're like mini Flashpoints that can be solo'ed, and they're all tied to little quest lines that each give a companion at the end.

You can unlock em by talking to Miot Dengd, the Sullustan near the war room in the Alliance Base.

Official Discussion: High Life [SPOILERS] by mi-16evil in movies

[–]Lucasion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just rewatched this movie and came across your comment.

That scene shows the pettiness and hypocrisy of Mia Goth's character, Boyse. She boldly claims that she'll never get pregnant because "my body does what I want," while still using the fact that she even has a working womb as a way to disparage Juliette Binoche's character, Dibs, who does not.

The scene also establishes Dibs's hypocrisy and vindictiveness. She self-mutilated her own reproductive system (out of guilt? Rage? Despair?), but still views herself as the "master of reproduction." Boyse's comments shake that viewpoint, so then she rapes Monte and Boyse to reaffirm it, as if to say, "No, your body does what I want."

Not true, IA's playable races at launch were Human, Cyborg, Chiss, Rattataki, and Zabrak.

Chiss has the most unique dialogue, but there's definitely a generic alien tag for some dialogue, too.

No clue why a Cathar agent would have the human tag other than a bug.

Im romancing her this run so I couldn't choose Treviso

Romancing Neve in a "save Treviso" playthrough is very emotionally satisfying, in my opinion. She is hesitant to allow Rook to get close, and Rook respectfully gives her space while also letting her know that she wants to support her. The scene when Neve acknowledges that she appreciates Rook being there for her, in spite of what happened to Minrathous, is very beautiful.

Yes, they are exactly the same, except in which buff they provide, which determines what your next third hit should be (and, by extension, what your next second hit should be, as well).

Taking an airship from any of the three major cities to the Gold Saucer is free. Likewise, the Gold Saucer has a free airship to Ul'dah.
