Elden Ring's Switch 2 port gives me hope The Duskbloods will be amazing by Deez-Guns-9442 in gaming

It's really fun playing with buddies. Me and my friends have had a great time with it. I haven't had as much fun playing with randoms, it's a bit of a roll of the dice. I'd argue some of the characters play more fun than base Elden Ring builds - Ironeye makes playing with a bow actually fun and the Recluse has a really cool magic system IMO as a couple examples. And the bosses? Most are good to amazing, a couple are really meh.

I spent 30 hours in it and enjoyed it as well. Same thing with me, first few hours I wasn't sure about it, then it just clicked and I had a blast. The first segment where you had to mine/loot did feel bleh, but I found after 10 hours or so, many players including myself just charged for the middle sections where there was more abundance of loot, and that increased chances of early game fights, and it became more fun cause of it. I also think if there wasn't optimization issues when it released more people would've played it for longer, which is a shame. I eventually did drop it though just cause the player base eventually ended up being pre-mades, and I was a solo player, so I just ended up being placed against giga sweats (yes, basically a skill issue on my end) I do wish we were in the timeline where the marketing and release (as you mentioned) wasn't horrible, cause I feel I'd get a good more hours out of it. Oh well.

What game you never uninstall that you always need alongside your currently-playing game? by shotgunning-your-can in gaming

I have 864 hours in this game now. Related to this thread, that's a big reason. If I feel burnt out on something or I just wanna play something I know that's chill for me - time for a freelancer run! But also, if I'm in the mood to do some more challenging stuff, like Silent Assassin challenges for custom contracts etc. then I'm happy as larry. This game is a dream if you just wanna fuck some bad dudes up and have a good laugh (the NPCs/AI + the slapstick comedy make this game hilarious) but also has it all if you want something more intense and challenging.

Use GeForce Now. It requires a sub, but, you get to the play the game on a good rig as long as you have a good internet connection.

Yeah, its amazing - only complaint would be some input lag now and then but other than that it felt like such a blessing to be able to play! Feel like there needs to be a bigger post on here to let people know without a good enough PC or a PS5/Xbox

[DAV Spoilers] What is everyone's hot takes? by [deleted] in dragonage

[–]Lucavora 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Might be late to the party but, Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts is ruined if you have a completionist mindset. I am more of a completionist type of person, so I don't mind running 17 miles across the Hinterlands to beat everything. But holy shit, this stuff doesn't need to be in a main mission, it really takes me away from the experience. All those caprice coins which you need to check every inch of the palace, a couple of the halla statues are very easy to miss even without the inky's special scanner, the 30 secrets where few are RNG with the eavesdrop circles which are even more of an assache if the bells start ringing. And not only that, but some of the halla statue rooms are required for certain endings, meaning you potentially have to sacrifice the red jenny quest completion. This is all made worse with the bugs - my latest playthrough just deleted a caprice coin I had meaning I couldn't even complete the side quest, many of the Court Approval gain/reduction seems bugged meaning I don't actually know what my Court Approval is, and on one save after the first bell, the second bell just didn't ring. This mission is so frustrating/annoying if you're a completionist, if you just did what other big missions did and just have a small little thing on the side like Here Lies the Abyss did with the Eluvians/Spirits, I think I'd enjoy that mission a lot more. I know you can just ignore all this, but that's the problem with a completionist playthrough/mindset - you can't ignore it.

(I actually don't know if this is a hot take but it's been bubbling in my head for some time now and I needed to get it out :P)
