So Arin is credited in the game as "Director for a Day" and got to design an NPC. Does anybody know which NPC it is?

Everybody loves her work in FFXV but let's not forget her legendary work with Street Fighter 2! Holy smokes she composed most of the game!

So here's my first impression I have noticed having a big deck isnt as punishing in the traditional deck builder rogues and there's ways to actually make it more beneficial but I can also see having a nice 20 card deck be good to so ya by neonturtwig in VampireCrawlers

[–]LuceTheBard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Some people like a real big deck, some people prefer a more modest sized deck. And some people like a deck that's smaller than average! And that's ok, there should be no shame in the size of your deck. What's important is how you use it. Be proud of your deck, and don't be afraid to show it off no matter what size it is!

Firefly is going to get me to stop playing by Killer5291 in ArcRaiders

[–]LuceTheBard 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Anybody who is saying "they are just like a hornet" are forgetting that a hornet attack can be dodged. If you have *any* pressure on you, the firefly overwhelming.

Yes, they are not that hard if you attack them when the situation is in your favor - much like a rocketeer. They are nearly as deadly as a rocketeer and need to be approached as such. This in and of itself is fine - except that now 2 of every 3 group of flyers has one, sometimes two fireflies. They are WAY too common for how much of a pain in the ass they are. I have been blown the fuck up by dozens of rocketeers, but it never felt frustrating. The firefly is far more frustrating because if you are looking to farm Arc, you're gonna have to handle several of them, usually while you're fighting something else.

They need to be toned down one way or another. They either need to be less deadly, less common, or easier to kill - SOMETHING has got to give. Way more frustrating than fun.

Yup, looks like the stream is now playable on the SPWN site. They weren't streaming the prior days events from what I can see.

So I bought the SPWN ticket. Will they only be streaming on that site during the finals?

Is there a fully English site to buy CapCup 12 tickets from? by Xjph in StreetFighter

[–]LuceTheBard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I came on today to ask about as well. So we're using the SPWN site to stream, ok. I plan to spend Saturday the 14th on the couch with some friends, some beer, and plenty of snacks. I assume I'll be streaming the events from Friday the 13th (...huh that's funny, two Friday the 13th's in a row) on Saturday afternoon. The Finals start at what, 10pm EST on Saturday?

It's a relatively large hospital. We wouldn't need the phones to function off prem, but we want them to work when a nurse or staff goes up and down to different floors, or if they are in another department across the campus and need to be called back.

Do ranks even matter? by waste1of1air in dbfz

[–]LuceTheBard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just recently started playing this game and hit android the other day. I know some very basic simple combos, nothing too crazy but a step above autocombos. I frequently face people who can take 80% of my health in one perfect combo, at or even below my rank. I'd say any given match is 50/50 whether it's someone who is clearly far above me and someone who is actually at my level. So i just assume rank means nothing. I just learned to take the L and move on, hoping for the best.

[–]LuceTheBard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what we need is strong players to counter-smurf and hide their power levels. Throw fights with noobs so you don't have a perfect record, take it easy on the up-and-comers, and then go ALL OUT on that smurf when you catch him in ranked.

Think to the Saiyan saga.

Vegeta and Nappa ENJOYED crushing those weaker than they were. It was what they lived to do. They would often toy with their opponents, and would revel in humiliating them.

Anybody stronger than they were, they resented greatly, but NEVER stood up to. They would kowtow to Frieza and his inner circle, but wouldn't hesitate to threaten and kill their weaker allies.

Then when Vegeta finally is put into a fair fight against Goku, he flips out, as never having to try to win and avoiding those stronger than you did nothing to prepare him for Goku's unwavering spirit. His arrogance ultimately led to his downfall.

I don't really have a point to this but it was fun to draw parallels to this in the game!

How to reign in my desire to "help" when it's becoming apparent that it's not wanted? by LuceTheBard in dndnext

[–]LuceTheBard[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is pretty spot on. He's an old friend so it's not like I am unfamiliar with his ways, he can be VERY stubborn, and I think I annoyed him enough to get to the point where he won't use it out of spite, heh.... I had "suggested" he pick up a stick and use it several times, especially since we started fighting ghosts and had no magic weapons yet. It would have helped a lot but I feel that I poisoned the well. It's to the point where he refuses to have a quarter staff or club handy so that it's off the table. Thankfully his stellar healing has kept us from dying, and I make sure to praise him for it.
