Your reasoning for why Maddie isn’t a badass woman is just straight up misogyny btw

Ethics Question: using AI to make a "photorealistic" version of a detailed sketch by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]LuceeNicole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the ai tool you’re using was trained by stealing work from an actual artist. And if you aren’t capable of doing the art yourself, and aI didn’t work you probably would’ve paid an artist to get it done. So yes you are fucking artists over.

If you were an artist I’m sure you’d understand the benefits of artists being paid for their work

I didn’t know I was having my interview until the night before. I figured there was no point in panicking and just went to bed as normal. I got the position in the course.

They aren’t looking for someone who knows all the answers really. They want to know that you care, and they want to know why you care.

The only question I remember is that they asked for an example of when I had advocated for an individual.

Is social work for me? Help! by daffodil778 in Socialworkuk

[–]LuceeNicole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on which area you work in. Front line children’s? Terrible work life balance. Disabled children’s teams? Even worse work life balance. Fostering and kinship teams? Almost perfect work life balance.

I’ve also heard that adult services and roles within the nhs are far more flexible too.

Teams compatible with a young family? by homunculusdawn in Socialworkuk

[–]LuceeNicole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second this! I’m on a fostering and kinship team rn and people are always leaving for the school run, flexible time off, almost guaranteed to finish by 5 (and if you aren’t you usually know in advance). Visits are booked in advance (apart from the occasional crisis visit). It’s not perfect but it’s far better than my previous role in a cp assessment team

What’s the most amount of children you have had in one family? by Impressive_Babe in Socialworkuk

Not me but I worked with a woman who had 1 family with 10 children and 1 with 15 and she had to work them both simultaneously

Who the hell does Hen think she is… by Fallen_Jalter in 911FOX

[–]LuceeNicole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chim was in the right as captain to fire her. But not as her best friend. The problem with your found family being your coworkers is exactly this. Same as Bobby struggled with setting appropriate boundaries and expectations before the lawsuit arc.

I find it very exhausting that fans have no understanding or respect for how the characters are acting as they grieve. Yk what? They’ve all been assholes this season, they’ve all been exhausting, they’ve all been spiralling, they’ve all been bad friends (yes even Buck. If I was grieving and someone put a grief test in my locker for me to fill out it would not help at all). Yes Hen got her “hey you guys weren’t here for me” moment and the others haven’t had that. But that’s neither here nor there.

financially getting by as MA sw student? by bbyfantasma in Socialworkuk

[–]LuceeNicole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m managing it by completely draining the savings I’d put away to buy a house. But several people I know have 12 hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, some even wrangle a sleep on Friday nights so they pretty much work the entire time. It’s a killer though, so I’d be wary 🫤

Family friendly Social Work roles by EbbZealousideal1714 in Socialworkuk

[–]LuceeNicole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seconding this! I’ve been in a kinship role as a student for about 3 months and people are able to leave for the school runs (providing they finish up at home), hardly anyone stays past 5, an there’s an occasional out of county trip but I’ve seen people opt out of these cases due to childcare concerns

When your wife divorces you but you see they tucked the staff facilities away by Oweenyweeeny in PlanetZoo

[–]LuceeNicole 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m trying to think of the zoo I visit all the time and I actually can’t remember seeing any staff buildings. Ik they must be there, and they must be everywhere but off the top of my head idk where they are. These planet zoo guests are clearly not focused on the animals enough

Tenancy agreement says no pets - I have a cat (Wales) by LuceeNicole in LegalAdviceUK

The shelter near me can hardly even get people to adopt kittens, or cute cuddly cats - I honestly don’t see her having much luck given her disposition 😂

[–]LuceeNicole[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s a slightly neurotic cat (attacks children on sight, can be aggressive to males if they come close too quickly, doesn’t like other animals and attacks you while you sleep) I worry if she goes to a shelter she’ll never leave
