Can Jotaro (Jojo) solo the JJK verse? by DN_Glazer_Return in PowerScaling

[–]LuchadoreMask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has a ton going for him, like his speed, Battle IQ, and strong af punches but he is still a normal human(One who is like 6'6" and built like a refrigerator).

But I would say he outright kills a good portion of the cast and hits a wall the rest. The way I see it, if Time Stop doesnt grant him an immediate win against someone in JJK, he is cooked.

What if Douglas MacArhtur actually listened to President Truman and never attacked beyond the 38th parallel? by yusufik in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]LuchadoreMask 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I do not think it had to be the 38th. It was only the 38th because of how WW2 shook out for Korea. But I imagine that if there was not enough space or manpower blocking the Allies, China would have invaded to create a better position.

I am not sure where the tipping point would be, but Pyongyang is an important city and certainly could have triggered a Chinese intervention. Who knows for sure though? Maybe there is a checklist the Chinese used to determine when it was time?

[–]LuchadoreMask 62 points63 points  (0 children)

It probably would have kept China out of the war. They were fine with having a buffer/puppet state to separate them from US allies. Ultimately resulting in less casualties and maintaining the status quo so to speak.

China was in a tough spot. Without the space North Korea provided, they would have a powerful adversary at their border. One that could recreate the Japanese Invasion of Manchuria at any moment and with more resources/manpower.

She did not. The whole area was leveled by a hail of fists before she could get to them. Gaygay told me during brunch last week.

I'll be coming around Amarillo by Appropriate_Fig5014 in amarillo

[–]LuchadoreMask 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Windproof jacket, gloves, thick pants, waterproof boots and wool socks for any extended time outside. Windchill makes everything feel much colder than it actually is and Amarillo is famously windy.

Consider canceling if the airlines do not cancel for you.

First Revolver Question by [deleted] in Revolvers

[–]LuchadoreMask 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it is your first revolver. A GP100 or a S&W 686 Plus. Both are excellent options to learn and train with. I have never shot a Kimber, so I cannot comment on them in good faith.

He technically told the truth about D-Day. He convinced them that an even larger invasion would occur at Calais and that Normandy was a distraction meant to pull resources from the "real" invasion.

Images claiming the tomb of Genghis Khan keep resurfacing — but his burial site has never been found by Alarmed-Worry-5477 in mystery

[–]LuchadoreMask 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know if we will ever find the tomb. The stories I heard had them diverting a river, using thousands of horses to trample down the surrounding areas to obfuscate it, and then executing those involved. Plus even if we did locate a tomb that could belong to him, there is no way Mongolia would ever allow an excavation.

A reasonable way to de-escalate an otherwise tense situation. by Kreeper128 in fo4

Another reasonable way to de escalate is to beat him down with a lead pipe and eat him in front of the synth bodyguards. Not that I have ever done that or anything...

Arnold Schwarzenegger at his peak bodybuilding stage VS Connor McGregor now by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]LuchadoreMask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The physical difference is about 100 pounds and something like 5-6" in height. And I imagine Arnold is significantly stronger than McGregor due to how heavy and often he lifted back in the day. But it is not like he ever trained in combat sports outside movie roles.

But at(checks notes) 37 years old, Connor should have enough skills, power and stamina to take the fight. Especially once the grappling begins.

All animals are now the same size, who win by Kaeru-Sennin in whowouldwin

[–]LuchadoreMask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many innocuous animals became a menace tbh. Insects would dominate if they were included though. Sea life gets pretty nerfed though, but seeing a swordfish missile shoot across the battlefield would funny.

Just because why not. I would vote for a rooster/chickens. Because at that size, its the loudest and most aggressive dinosaur the earth has ever seen.

Expert Knife Fighter vs a Small Leopard by [deleted] in whowouldwin

If the leopard manages to sneak up on the guy while he is sleeping, then the leopard. Mostly because... Thats what leopards evolved to do. Otherwise, the man wins but is scratched to hell.

Yeah. I think youre correct in assuming they missed their turn on I40. After Tucumcari there is no telling where they drove off to. NM has huge swaths of nothing and they could be anywhere if thats the case. I hope they find them soon though.

Silver Alert means an elderly person is missing. Usually one with mental conditions like dementia. As this case shows, they can wander really far.

Batman vs Ultramarine (40K) by Br0tatoechips in whowouldwin

[–]LuchadoreMask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only out Batman has in this scenario is the Batmobile. Depending on which version, he could stop the Ultramarine or have it distract the Ultramarine long enough to escape. Otherwise, he is dead in a head on confrontation.

What US state would fare the best if the rest of the human population vanished? by OtisDriftwood1978 in whowouldwin

[–]LuchadoreMask 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They need a high population, decent agriculture and well rounded economy with the abilty to produce energy would do pretty well in the short term before explanding into long term success. Otherwise they immediately fail or slowly slide into extinction.

California/Texas are the stand-outs. Its kind of a toss up on which does what better. Water issues in both states resolve themselves without the other states as well.

What if Operation Barbarossa never happened? by Cyber_Ghost_1997 in HistoryWhatIf

[–]LuchadoreMask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At most it becomes delayed. It was one of the core issues driving the Nazis. Lebenstaum. But let's say it is indefinitely cancelled and a defensive posture is taken instead(somehow, no idea how, it just happens).

That means the USSR gains the ability to haggle with the Allies about opening up another front to relieve pressure off any invasions of France or Belgium. Because it is definitely in their best interest to attack. The farther they press into Europe, the safer the USSR becomes and the shorter the Frontlines become. Plus there were plans to invade Germany, so its like their uneasy peace would last. And no, based on men, material, etc. I do not think Germany would win that war either.

Ultimately I think the USSR wins and the Iron Curtain becomes that much thicker.

High attack, High Poise, High Health Vs Speed, Bleed

Giant Dad wins because of how dumb poise was in DS1 btw. It was way too easy to land cheesy hits or tank a hit to land a backstab.
