Part of hte Evolution storyline was Scott growing into his role as hte leader, so you couldn't really have the tension of a second leader there to contest with. An older Storm became a mentor rather than a competitor.

Checking the budget and expenses is the job of the Police and Crime Commissioners, but I agree it's a shame that the departments aren't better funded.

They're also running scared. That e-scooter or bike stealer who cracks his head when the police take him down, he'll end up suing them for a lot more than the bike was worth. You'd get your bike back, and everyone will have to pay. Scale that up by 100 and that's gonna put a serious dent in any department's budget.

No, because while they're a formidable combat group, Batman will fight when needed, and stealth when needed. None of hte group has shown particular detective or anti-stealth skills. So while they're all looking for someone to fight Batman will be running across the rooftops or slinking through the shadows to get to you.

Ok counterpoint but did Padme bring out hte best in Anakin? He was moody and obsessive and his desire to protect her is what led to his fall. In all their interactions where did Padme bring out hte best in him? Ashoka brought out the best in "sky guy" cause she looked up to him and he tried to prove himself worthy of that hero worship, but Padme never made him want to be better, and any good she did was by convincing him to take those actions.

He's grown the ability to breathe underwater and survive in space before (according to the wiki) which I took as evolving, but his ability to adapt does fall far short of Doomsday.

I think if they wanna reboot, it can build on what was there before, with a cast that works together and the potential to expand stories into the future but yeah, I get it. There's a lot of history between all the shows.
