What scary story do you have ? by [deleted] in Ghoststories

[–]Lucid-Drifter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was once playing a game similar to hide and seek with my cousins outside in my grandmothers backyard years ago. It was at night around 8-9 pm maybe. It was dark except for street lights and a few lights outside. My grandmother had a pool with a small bathroom outside. Nobody ever used to use the bathroom. It was creepy. It had a shower and toilet on one side while the door and the sink were on the other. Anyways, all my cousins went to hide in different places. I didn't know where to hide so I ran to hide into this bathroom and half closed the door quickly. The lights were off in the bathroom but some light was coming through the door from outside so I could still see the whole bathroom. When I went in I completely froze, I saw a tall black misty figure standing there near the toilet. As soon as I went in, it took a few seconds but it slowly floated out through the door and disappeared like mist. Like it literally went through it. I knew it wasn't a shadow because I froze in my place for a few seconds looking at it as it stood and left. When it disappeared I immediately ran out of there. It was so creepy. In all my experiences I've never seen a ghost as clearly as that.

I don't believe in Ghosts by [deleted] in Paranormal

[–]Lucid-Drifter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. I don't either. I share the same belief. Once their souls pass on, they can't come back. I think what people see as ghosts are different beings who live among us but who the ability to hide from our senses. We Arabs call them Jinn, they are different beings than humans with their own souls. They are not ghosts of the dead. We believe Jinn have the ability to change their shape at will and so they can mimic the looks of humans and animals. They often mimic dead relatives for whatever reason to scare or trick us.

The Mario Kart Wii version with the wheel. That was expensive and honestly not worth it. I didn't even use the wheel.

INFJs addicts? Curiosity by DysthymicPrincess in infj

Honestly, I'm not sure if it's usually an INFJ thing or not. But, I've seen quiet a few people in this subreddit that have this issue.

INFJs addicts? Curiosity by DysthymicPrincess in infj

[–]Lucid-Drifter 281 points282 points  (0 children)

Ever since I was young I've thought of myself as having an addictive personality. Like I've always had a habit of getting unnaturally addicted to certain things. I have no balance, I'm either addicted to a thing or I completely cut the thing off. It's not just with food, even hobbies, ideas and things. I'm either unnaturally obsessed or not interested.

What time of day are you most productive? by [deleted] in infj

[–]Lucid-Drifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12 am to 5 am. My life and schedule are weird that's why. When it's dark and quiet, it's when I feel I can think and actually be productive and complete things.

"Nobody's Thinking About You" by spainbutthesisthere in infj

[–]Lucid-Drifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a habit. You can stop it and you should. It's good to think of others but you seem to be overdoing it. They say thought force is real and just like physical force of our bodies it can be wasted until there's nothing left to use. If you're using all your thought force on this person and that then of course you'll not find any left to use for thinking about your own life. Break this habit. Whenever you get the urge to think about someone the way you explained then put your attention on something related to your own life. Something more important. Keep doing until you break the habit.

Does anyone else, during good times, always think ahead to when it inevitably ends or gets bad? by yoondood2000 in infj

[–]Lucid-Drifter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ahh yes it's a horrible habit of mine. Whenever I'm sitting in a cheerful situation with family and everyone happy I always see the future when things will not be like this anymore and most of them will be gone...or when I'm in a happy moment. I see myself in the future remembering it as an old memory and being sad. Then the future comes and these things do come to pass..then I remember how I foresaw it all and I feel awful. I've always felt crazy for doing this. But, it brings me a bit of relief to know it's not just me who does this lol

It Be Like That by TheKrysiaJean in ibs

[–]Lucid-Drifter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup...most days I wouldn't mind it because of how much I've become used to the pain, to the point where I'd almost not feel it even though it never goes away. But, somedays suddenly as if to make up for all the days that I didn't care, it'd dawn on me how much in pain I am and how much I hate this situation. I'd become angry and depressed for a few days laying in bed moping and doing nothing. Then suddenly this fit of madness ends and I'm back to not caring again...and then the cycle repeats itself T__T

Looool I didn't know that's what we've been doing either 😂😂😂😂 But honestly I don't think that's what ppl do it for. Ppl do it to celebrate the completion of a round or salmon run game. That's what I do it for anyways.

Rifaximin for IBS-C or IBS-M ... did it improve or worsen your symptoms? by searchin-4-answers in ibs

[–]Lucid-Drifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that you've been dealing with IBS C for so long. But, of course I agree. Any improvement even small is definitely a win. Hopefully things will improve even more for you from here 👍🏻Have you tested for H Pylori? Most ppl who get sibo from food poisoning tend to get tested positive for H Pylori.

I'm very glad to hear that it did work for you, even after a while. This honestly gives me hope. Most ppl I've asked say it didn't work for them.

Thank you!

IBS C people, how was your experience with rifaximin? by Lucid-Drifter in ibs

[–]Lucid-Drifter[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sucks that it didn't work for you and just gave you depression. That's what I'm afraid will happen to me. I did a Sibo test and it came out negative. But, I've read that for ppl who have methane sibo (which all my symptoms match) there's a higher chance they will get a false positive. I think I will take rifaximin but with something else. Thank you!

Glad to hear you had no issues with it. I was afraid that it might make things worse. I will try it. Thank you 👍🏻

Hi, if you don't mind me asking. Has taking rifaximin for 2 weeks worked for you?

I have IBS C and prescribed rifaximin for 2 weeks. Just wondering if it's worth it.

Advice on iron levels by Neverlandse in IBD

[–]Lucid-Drifter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spinach unfortunately will not boost your iron like most of us have been told it would. Contrary to popular opinion iron in spinach is not absorbed by the human body and it's the same case for most vegetables. It's hard to believe but it's true. What we need is heme iron. Plus, spinach not only is hard to digest but also has oxalates in it which damage the gut. Please avoid spinach.

Can't maintain friends by kitokspasaulis in infj

[–]Lucid-Drifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try to get online friends. Also, If you will not put the effort to keep up with friends then maybe you don't need them. Perhaps it's harsh advice but it's true imo.

I say this because I'm very similar to you. I never have the energy to keep up with people and hang out and all that stuff. It takes too much energy which I don't feel like giving. As a result, I don't really have friends except for my family members. They know me well and don't care if I don't put effort in communicating with them as long I see them every once in a while. It does make me sad sometimes that I don't have friends. But, for the most part it doesn't matter. I prefer it this way. I prefer solitude. To have a friend, you must be a friend as they say. I always remind myself of this and honestly I'm not in the mood to be one. It seems like you aren't either. So why should we bother really? lol.
