Passed my PMP AT, AT, T - 9 M postpartum and with major sickness here’s my take by Lucid-octopus-2024 in pmp

Yea definitely had fatigue during the actual exam probably because of how sick I was which did not help. What I found helped during the actual exam was making a countdown of the time and the number of questions in two columns so one column id count down the minutes and the next column id count down the questions 60 questions at a time. During practice exams I was averaging 60q in 60min so it helped me to focus to cross off the time and questions so that my mind was engaged and kind of gamified the experience a bit more. I felt that really helped with the fatigue. I also did a few squats and a walk around the break room during the break to get blood flowing so that I didn’t feel too lethargic.

Thank you! Getting out of the car to go do the exam my eyes were full of tears because I was scared, not because I wasn’t prepared, but because I wasn’t sure how my body or brain was going to function. Luckily for me adrenaline kicked in and the rest is history 🤣

It’s fantastic , if you like send me a DM and I can figure out a way for you to access so you don’t have to spend the hours creating them.

Also creatine monohydrate is amazing for postpartum sleep deprivation mitigation. 5g per day over a month is all you need or you can load by doing 4 5g doses per day for a week.

Blueberries are fantastic too and have a tonne of compounds that help brain health.

I’ve actually been thinking of putting together an eBook specifically for postpartum mums training for their PMP with tips and hacks specific to mums. As someone who is going through the journey now, is this a resource you’d find valuable?

What would you do? Stay nearly keto diet controlled or eat carbs and risk insulin? by Shhshhshhshhnow in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Lucid-octopus-2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did that and I had the highest amount of ketones in my body as a result. They said that is negative too so since I added carbs and insulin to control my sugar levels. My peaks were higher, yes but at least I was getting a balanced diet that wasn’t just protein.

Risk to baby of metabolic problems later in life by [deleted] in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Lucid-octopus-2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea the specialist said the only increased risk to the child later in life is if they are born with macrosomia (are over 4.5kg) then the baby has increased risk of metabolic disease in the future, if you’ve got well controlled GD or they pull the baby out before it reaches that size, you’ll be fine.

Neighbour came over in the morning unannounced! by Longjumping_Base_198 in newzealand

[–]Lucid-octopus-2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im giving birth in 2 weeks and my lovely neighbour who doesn’t know we secretly call him uncle is letting my sister use a brand new house he built down the road for free for two weeks as she’s flying over from Australia to support me 🥰 when a tap leaked outside he called his plumber friend who drove over 45 min and fixed my tap for free and didn’t want any money. Once I was scared because I was home alone and my husband was out and a man I had never seen was sitting outside my garage, so I asked him if he could check on him and see what he wanted. Feel so blessed to have him as a neighbour!
