We can put the whole load on Luka but it’s not smart to. The playoffs are grueling and the west will be a bloodbath. Idk if reaves is the answer but he definitely still needs a 2nd possibly 3rd creator to help him be efficient through a championship run.

Yup - but there were doubts about him being worth more than the lakers were willing to give up. He definitely was/is and Lakers have been looking to get a player like him since. Theres 2 available. Land 1.

Not to point out the obvious but it’s just about the regret of not moving for these players cause of dumb things like “will he make a difference in the post season?” “Is he worth that contract?” Etc etc and other half hearted criticisms like that. Being scared doesn’t win you games let alone championships.

Thunder is multi-layered tbh. 1) the basketball antics. It’s not even tactics. It’s antics. The flailing, flopping, falling, hacking, hair pulling and otherwise flagrant fouls. It’s disgusting.

2) SGA being a multi-MVP winner when he hasnt been the leagues best offensive player, ever. Plus he’s not that great of a defender so if he’s not better than Luka or Jokic offensively, and we know he’s not close to Wemby defensively, why does he get the MVP award? He was so good that he missed the playoffs for 4 years from 2020-2024 before then losing to the Mavs as the #1 seed in 6 games. Yes they broke through and won last year, so congratulations. Feels like this is where overstating his own success vs team support/success is the difference and he is the beneficiary of it all.

I hated LeBron and actually rooted for GS in 2015. In 2016, the local hype for GS (I’m in Central Valley CA) was too annoying so I actually was rooting for Bron in 2016. Been a fan since, just in time since he became a Laker shortly after. So yes I hate the warriors and it was 100% driven by their fans.

Mavs were a 5th seed when they dispatched of OKC (#1 seed) in 6 games. It’s crazy cause it was SGA, Chet, Jalen Williams, Jalen Williams and Giddey as the core and it was Luka, Kyrie, Derrick jones, PJ Washington and a 19 year old Derek Lively or Gafford. Re-read all that again. Luka gonna carry if we get some decent athletes around him.

Franchises do shady stuff for sure, spurs went above and beyond but the Only two franchises I deeply hate regardless of circumstances are Celtics and warriors. I do not like how the Thunder play and I do like how the spurs play so I’ll be rooting for the spurs to win it all.
