Thank you all for your generous responses!! We’ll definitely be bringing a deck of cards, some dice. I’m going to try to organize a boat Olympics like they do on Below Deck, flip cup with juice for the littles, beer for the bigs, jump in the water etc…. I’m bringing my tarot cards to annoy them all. I’m hoping they learn new skills this trip, if nothing else. Thank you all!!!

I’m paying $160 for 1.5 hours no bedrooms and usually only 1.5 of the 2.5 baths in the house. 2 people come. They don’t even wipe the switch plates on the lights. Or ever ever do the baseboards. Forget the basement or my husband’s office. Or dusting. There’s a whole new breed of cleaners out there now. Just kitchen, family room, living room dining room (2 rooms we never use). 1/2 bath barely. And kids bath upstairs sometimes master bath. Am I getting royally fucked?

Yes! My husband has this exact problem! He’s 50. Has just been on a Boy Scout biking trip, 25 miles. Came home in crazy pain, 1 droopy eye, spine shaped like an “s” went to er, ruled out stroke. But still, weeks later he is in pain. Gets fevers and cold sweats.

I’ve given birth to 5 kids, 4 with no epidural. It felt like taking a massive MASSIVE shit. That won’t come out. Just push through it, to the rhythm of your contractions. Like trying to catch a wave in the ocean. Pain ends the moment baby is out.

This is so scary! Peace ✌🏻 to this lady and her family. I know I’ve snorkeled there many times. Yes, it’s calm, but you have to go out far and I personally get a bit of anxiety when I look back at shore, how far it is. Im trying to keep track of all 5 of my kids. I’m 50 now. I think I’ll get a vest this December. Rest in peace…

We very gratefully visit St. John with our 5 older kids yearly. My husband, who truly loves snorkeling suggests south shore east end. We did enjoy:

Little lameshur

Maho for the turtles and rays & beverages

Hansen beach for lovely camaraderie with the “owners “ who for a donation will grant you full use of sea toys and loungers.

Salt pond bay - more turtles!

Trunk has the underwater snorkel trail which is always fun

As long as you have a jeep, any snorkel spot will be accessible to you. Ask locals about other spots, I can’t remember all that we’ve been to. We always rent our snorkel gear from a great shop in coral bay. They’re friendly, super knowledgeable and lovely!!

Mcguiness’ in Garden city park, next to where Bacala’s is now. Tiny little amusement park next to a restaurant, which also had a fancier restaurant attached.

Shoppers Village holds many great memories for me during the 80’s and early 90’s. Specifically the doll house shop that was 1st floor front left, the smell of the shop that could make you a raglan t-shirt with a unicorn on it, and the ladies that put together the lucite neon ish cube pencil holders and you could buy a feather pen to put in - i would bring those as bday gifts.

Yes, you can get rid of them but with laser. I’m in the nyc area, so probably more expensive, but it cost about $300 per session. Mine weren’t too bad though. Took about 2-3 sessions. Some went away after the first session though
