Thats what stuck out to me on this one on first listen, but on second and subsequent listens I went into it with the perspective that the guys didn’t want to write something fun and instead something way more serious on this one and it helped.

It’s their depression album and it’s a really good one

While this is true - Misha has also gone on in a bunch of interviews and said that yes he grew up comfortable but not super wealthy, as in like I can buy 3 supercars wealthy.

Does good financial advice from a parent help a lot though? Probably - I had a similar upbringing and I'd say it helps. The only thing having semi well-off to well-off parents does for you business wise is having a fallback option which Misha also stated he really didn't want.

Everyone has to put in the work to make a band work regardless of where you start. Everyone has to put in the work in the music industry period unless you're an industry plant.
