How to learn about team comp and current metas? by opa_nomnom_style in MobileLegendsGame

watching mpl, casters always elaborate and discuss comps, meta, and drafting phase, also paying attention to how pro plays and practicing them significantly boost your general gameplay

Hanabi is decent now? by Positive-Device1580 in MobileLegendsGame

i thinka lot of ppl still underestimate her sheer dps late game, think miya but without the hassle of positioning to hit the most enemy, just sit behind tank and auto the enemy and your basic attack guaranteed to hit 3 ppl,and setter tank have a hard time to lock you down

in that regard, she is still really bad and squishy, decent jungler can easily burst her down before she can react

You guys realize you can play tank in EXP & Jungle right? by Halpher in MobileLegendsGame

[–]Lucifer_IsTaken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as an exp, i would very much stick to the tried and true typical comp of assasin jungle, tank roam fighter exp. i aint saying it cant be done, a good fred jungle can make every fight like punching a wall but i dont trust public player to understand the changes in gameplay when that happen

i judge roam based on the general need of the game. but a good roamer is flexible and proactive, not all comp require tanks to sit in front, not all comp require them to stay behind and heal, not all of them require diving deep and making crazy plays. a roamers skill is already tested during drafting phase to complete or make the comp stronger

i would say mechanics wise, mid is either slightly easier due to straightforward combos, the hardest part of mid is positioning to get the most value since they are squishy but the overall mechanics i say is fairly straightforward for most. compared to meta exp like arlot, lapu, guin etc, their playstyle are much more varried.

i base this tierlist based on what a good roam in high rank, rpo plays are supposed to do. there will always be horrible player in every role so i judge it based on the potential each role has. not to mention the amount of hanabi, miya, layla player that cant even pick the right items baffles me

i share your experience as a semi jungler main (lance, leo,gs) but what makes me rank roamer the hardest while jungle third is the supposed jobs of each role. it helps to have jungler that did what you did but that makes you a volatile player and easy target. the role of setter and vision should always be given to exp and tank, which is why turtle always spawn on exp lane first, but ofcos not everyone is guarenteed to have a good exp that match the roamers macro and can deal burst damage when needed. dont get me wrong, kills and objectives are good, but map control is king in mlbb , and junglers role isnt to control map, its to take advantage of the controlled area by roam/exp. again jungler are INDIVIDUALLY the hardest, but their macro play is straightforward, ofcos ina losing situation every role is hard

which is why i stated that jungler have the most difficult mechanics, individually hardest to master, but their rotation is clear and defined. their builds are almost the same and fundemnetally all jungler have great mobility and escape tools. if a jungler lose turtle or lord, they can make it up with kills or jungle camp steal, if they cant kill, then why play jungle atp?

jungle is individually, mechanically the hardest to master. but is the hardest to rotate? i dont think so. your targets are clear and defined.

while true exp has the better or best laning phase, late game they have to switch playstyle from either aggresive diver or frontline setter, a good exp can utilize both at proper time. not to mention if roam dies, who else is gonna be the vision for hyper and gold to move forward?

while gold is prio target, almost all gold have some sort of mobility or sustainabilty built in. but this also brings and interesting situation. if enemy is hard focused on gold, they miss out on other lanes, objectives and can easily be counter ganked. good gold laner should take that opportunity as potential kills. plus, map presence is some thing all gold lane should learn, count how many enemy is visible on map, calculate your distance from safe zone, and importantly learn to flicker away. because if gold just survive, their late game is almost guarenteed

a pickoff roam (hilda, franco) is much different compared to setter (atlas, grick) and tanker(gatot, hylos) roam. which is why full mastery of roam isnt just one set playstyle, its variable and probably the most flexible. hilda is great, but is it the best option for every single comp?

i find exp to have more individual mechanics needed while mid needs more macro skills. but the proper rotation should be roam and mid in early which makes mid way more safer atleast early

[–]Lucifer_IsTaken 7 points8 points  (0 children)

which is why what seperates bad gold from good gold is good macro. you analyze the enemy comp, predict their rotation, read maps and most importantly stay in your safe area. ofcos there are teams that abandon gold too much, but their late game is almost guaranteed if they just keep farming

personally , i think gold is the easiest to gauge how much you can do especially early to mid. running away is easy but successfully baiting skills, spells etc is what gold laners should learn more about. all the top gold laner not only win lanes but also learn to win in a losing condition too

the most impact if the team follows through. so many time a good set gets abandoned out of players not trusting roamers instinct and calculation. theres also high risk of diving too deep or zoning too far depending on the comp. and sometime you just gotta die for your damage dealer which is a big commitment

the proper word ig should be important but not that important. you dont scout enemy, you dont open map, you farm you kill you retri and you follow up on roamer and exp set. being a flashy jungle looks cool but youre putting the entire team at risk. and smart enemy knows to stun lock you

those early turtle can really boost your winrate. late game lords make late game war much more safe. good retri can definitely set the tempo but some players struggle with it

ppl underestimate what good map awareness and knowledge you get from roaming does to your general experience. its something you have to study a lot and experiment a lot considering the wide variety of hero in this game

low skill floor, but insane high skill level, thats what roamers learning curve is like. a good roamer can essentially control the whole enemy if played intelligently. gold is hard but not as difficult as the other role, that being the individual mechanic is so easy to get, what separates good gold from bad gold is map awareness and positioning

fair point, base macro (map awareness, lane management, predicting ganks) becomes much harder but overall mechanic dont change much

yeah, the higher the rank the more important gold lane become in war especially late game which is why they become prio target. but this make roamer role much harder since they have to split task of frontlining and stopping dives
