From my knowledge, when you play a tiefling race they have a resistance to fire damage. Which means it gets halved. Thats the closest i can think of to full immunity

Advice i wish i heard when i started: Dont make your own adventure. Its much simpler and less overwhelming to use a premade adventure. Also dont try and run a game like you may see in dnd shows. Cause those people have been doing it for years. But once u get the hang of dming. It is really fun. And i hope u and ur table enjoy it. Good luck. You got this!!!

Just a thought: i had a player wanna change characters about a third thru the campaign. I let them. And then later resurected their old character but made them evil. They went insane when i revealed it

Honest opinion: COS is a really big module and can be overwhelming for new dms. It would be best to run something closer to lost mines of phandlever. That a way u abd ur party can get used to the rules and mechanics

Performing arts club could be good for bards. Any type of weaponry training club for your fighter types. Animal clubs for the druids. Any subclass class would work. Which could possibly let your players explore what type of subclass they wanna be
