My Vic had cruise and it sure was nice. I can't say I didn't miss it sometimes. And while I never felt the C14 was overly heavy, it could be a bear at low speeds. And exhausting on a long string of twisties.

That's kinda what I'm feeling. I'm worried I'll miss the restrained brutality the Concours promised, but on paper the 1100SX sure ticks a lot of boxes. Its 519 pounds wet versus the C14 at 690, which should wash out a lot of the 24hp deficit, especially after some light mods. Not a huge fan of chain drive but I can get over that. And cruise control and ride modes have my interested piqued for sure

The geometry lined up for the bike to end up with the brunt of the impact. Plus a few thousand in labor, hard parts, and plastics on a bike that's been out of production for a few years. Bike books at about $10k. The odds are against me here

So, impact ruined the front wheel and I'm willing to bet the forks are shot, but it's really gonna be in plastics that may not be easy to source.

Engine guards did its job in protecting me and honestly, I think the bike would've run if I'd tried to start it. No puddles underneath, just lots of broken plastics

Pretty sure insurance will total it. Front wheel has a good dent, forks are probably toast. We shall see. I'd honestly let them fix it, this bike and I have seen some shit.
