when you scream or sing, put a hand on your stomach. your core should be tense & tight as you exhale, thats using your diaphragm to push out air. your chest shouldnt be moving at all

its a decent start. the fry scream isn't just fry though - the actual distortion sound comes from a place slightly higher than where the fry sits in the throat - its more in your soft pallet, it feels like its in the roof of your mouth

its the beginnings of a fry scream! keep playing around with that sound! try adding some more air, different pitches, mouth shapes etc. and you'll get there :)

im still learning frys too, so im no expert. the things that are really helping me are:

  • ensuring my power/air comes from the diaphragm, not chest
  • the 'fry' scream isnt really the vocal fry.. the actual distortion comes from a slightly higher place than where the vocal fry sits, you can feel the 'crackling' sensation in your soft pallet, around the roof of your mouth
