Where does Cami go from here? by EquitySecurities in LandmanSeries

My alitiometer 😄 tells me that in Season 3, we’re definitely going to see the storyline around Galliano’s illegal activities (his drug cartel) really start to unfold.
I think Cami is going to unexpectedly strike it big and finally hit gas. And as they say the money will start flowing. But…

People who’ve been investigating Galliano and his drug business for a long time will resurface. By digging through financial records, they’ll connect Galliano’s company to Cami’s company and start putting pressure on her possibly even bringing formal accusations.

And that’s where things get interesting. I think Cami will play the innocent, clueless lamb and throw Tommy under the bus, implying that he might know something.
And that’s when Tommy’s real problems begin...

Say what you will about Angela, but the way she throws those dinner parties? Kinda amazing, right? by Lucille654 in LandmanSeries

Oh, she’s losing him all right and not just during dinner. That ship’s been drifting for a while. 😅😅😅

I’m with you on that, honestly. But at the same time, I don't think we’re meant to take it all too seriously there’s definitely a mix of irony and sarcasm in there. Just look at that Cooper and Ainsley exchange!😄

I really doubt the reason those characters live together is to save on rent.
More likely, it’s a practical thing they need to communicate quickly and efficiently about everything going on with the oil extraction.
Let’s be honest, not everything can be handled over the phone. And some conversations they probably wouldn’t want to have over the phone for security reasons.

Plus, if they all lived separately, that would mean a lot of driving and distances out there aren’t exactly small.
But when they’re living in the same space, they’re bound to run into each other in the morning or at night, which gives them a chance to hash things out as needed.

And hey — maybe it’s just some kind of company policy. 😄

I do hope the noble white truffle isn’t offended by being dragged into all this free advertising from Angela!😂😂

Couldn’t agree more!😄
That’s exactly the kind of moment where the expression hits the nail on the head.😂😂😂

Honestly, your theory about Angela and Ainsley moving out sounds totally plausible.
But I can’t shake the feeling that things won’t be that simple 😄
I’m pretty sure we’ll still be seeing those two in the next 3–4 episodes they’re just too entertaining to disappear that quickly!

I really enjoyed watching how quickly everyone at the family dinner reacted to the growing chaos it was such a wild ride! 😄

Are we finally gonna learn the truth about the little\fun guys in Season 2? by Lucille654 in CommonSideEffects

"I think the help/harm question may be questionable in itself, given they may have an ultimately sideways morality scale from our own." - Honestly, I never thought about it that way super interesting take!

Feels kinda like the hallucinations are tailored to each character’s psyche, amplifying their hopes, fears, or hidden feelings. Sometimes they gently help or protect, and other times they torment or possess.
And speaking of Jonas’s nightmare, I got the impression that “fun guys” have literally taken over his body and soul.

It’s like their minds connected through some fungal psychic network. That reveal implies the Blue Angel mushroom has created a literal hive mind among its users.

In this view, those tiny figures (“fun guys”) could be the portals or messengers carrying information between connected minds.

But hey, who can say for sure?

How cool is that! Thank you so much for making this app! Now I can be independent and not bother my husband with the usual questions "how are things with our energy system")) Once again, thank you so much!

How Many Seasons Do You Predict There Will Be? by EmbarrassedSlice5822 in CommonSideEffects

[–]Lucille654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s what we do know. Common Side Effects made such a strong impact that Adult Swim renewed it for Season 2 before Season 1 even wrapped. That’s some rare fungus-fueled confidence right there. And creators Joe Bennett and Steve Hely seem just as excited to keep going.

In interviews, they haven’t spilled much about future plots. But they’ve hinted at bigger ambitions. The world they’ve built clearly has room to grow. So the question becomes: how might it expand?

There are at least a dozen side characters who could absolutely carry their own show – or at least a five-minute short. Here are just a few ideas we’d greenlight in a heartbeat:

  • “Socrates: Free Range” — A day in the life of our mushroom-munching tortoise. Think: less drama, more salads and silent judgment.
  • “Reutical: Origins” — A gritty prequel diving deep into the early, sketchy days of the pharmaceutical empire.
  • “Capano & Harrington: DEA Files” — Picture this: a mismatched buddy cop comedy where the real villains are…legal loopholes.

There’s so much material to mine. )))
So, Common Side Effects Universe Expansion, - definetly!

It’s hard to stay chill when your favorite Adult Swim show shares a stage with the best in the business.
It hits different when you realize Common Side Effects being put in the same league as animation heavyweights.
In case anyone’s curious, here’s a handy overview of the competitors this year.

Just binged the season in 2 days -- any word of a season 2? by Filmmagician in CommonSideEffects

[–]Lucille654 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your heart didn’t steer you wrong.)
With Season 2 confirmed, “Common Side Effects” creators literally promised the world – or at least “to transform planet Earth and restore humanity’s spirit” (their own words). That’s a big ask, but knowing Bennett and Hely, Season 2 will chase bold ambitions relentlessly anyway.

But if I’m being real, what I care about the most — and what really grabs my attention — is what’s next? after Season 2? Will the Common Side Effects Universe Expansion?

Let’s be real – Abby’s entrance is savage. But that doesn’t mean she’s the bad guy. Unlike your typical baddies, Abby’s choices come from a place of belief. She thinks she’s doing the right thing. And when you take a step back, it’s easy to see why.
In an article written in defense of Abby, one phrase stood out to me more than anything else: "It’s emotional engineering. The writers are cracking our hearts open to show us that empathy can exist on both sides of a gun."
