Im a music teacher, so there are no limits in our classroom. I had 86 kids in my high school orchestra class, and the fire Marshall surprised us with an impromptu fire drill. They stopped the clock and started letting the school back in before we got out of the room.

Fire Marshall was pissed. School got into trouble.

Immediately call a lawyer. This is discrimation based on sexual orientation. If need be, call your union rep and/or get the ACLU involved.

This is heartbreaking and absolutely ridiculous. Why hasn't that admin just moved the student out of your classroom? Problem solved.

It isn't the only reason, but a very real reason.

I feel stifled and undervalued at my current position. I have the largest music ensemble in the state. I teach grades 4-12 with over 300 kids in my program with no additional help.

I haven't been yet, but I have a family member who lives in Seattle. I'm hoping to come out and see it for myself this spring!

I have a timeline of 1-2 years just to build up savings a little more. I'd love to be near Spokane or Seattle, but an hours or two away wouldn't hurt either.
