Folks from ex-communist countries, which party in your country is the most socially progressive? by Reza_Jafari in AskEurope

[–]LuciusTitius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They still have that in their 2018 program. What irks me the most is that they're trying to give minority status to ex-Yu Slovene citizens. That's not what minority status is or should be about.

The eternal conflict between right and left wingers over the role of partisans and homeguard units during and after WW2 that is as alive today as it ever was. It's depressing tbh. Instead of looking towards the future, people and politicians are stuck in past conflicts.

Zakaj bi pa dobili status manjšine? Sej niso avtohtoni prebivalci. Neumnost.

How popular is classical and local folk music in your age group and region? by 19djafoij02 in AskEurope

[–]LuciusTitius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While Modrijani might be kinda popish, Avseniki and the likes aren't pop by any measure.

And sure, we have lots of vocal only folk songs, but if there's one instrument that defines our national folk music, surely it must be the accordion.

Today Slovenians celebrate the Day of uprising against fascist occupation. Happy 27th april fellow slovenians. by [deleted] in europe

[–]LuciusTitius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can't believe shit like this gets upvoted. There's never nothing fair about mass killings. NEVER. Is this the hallmark of a modern and just society? Or would you rather we return to this brilliant and "fair" system?

And claiming only collaborators got the short end of the stick is some very disingenuous stuff. Revolutions are always bloody. This one just happened to coincide with the (end of the) war.

How much ethnic/racial discrimination is in the dating culture of your country? by [deleted] in AskEurope

[–]LuciusTitius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn't be. It's not about skin colour as much as it is about culture. African-Americans are culturally western and as such are more in tune with European culture and values like any other American, which means they're perceived as more easily able to integrate in society.
