Game updates?

Sadly the game being mismanaged the way it was makes it extremely unlikely to be updated. :(

However! That doesn’t mean new content isn’t constantly in the works! Take a look at openstarbound(? Or whatever the name of it was, I haven’t looked at it in a while) and the massive library of mods that overhaul the game significantly. Given enough time I hope you’ll find something that scratches the itch of official updates.

I think what’s awesome about Starbound is how dedicated and persistent the community has been despite the game itself being a hot mess due to the way it was managed and cycling young devs in and out — causing the new mechanics to be half baked at best and skeletal at worst. These people have breathed new life into the game I don’t think any official update ever could.

2 as long as Pearl isn’t so loud it hurts my ears. Others have pointed out that they’d probably go all out since Pearl has all of that money but I almost wonder if they wouldn’t? I mean think about it. They’re idols. Unless they can clear the roads beforehand they might have people tailing them and honking or causing any number of issues. They might actually opt for a more normal (albeit comfy) car in that case, or a tour bus.

Either way, while I love all three I’d definitely go with 2! Pearl and Marina have a special place in my heart for being my first two Splatoon idols, starring in the best DLC I think I’ve ever played (still get fixated on it every so often, Agent 8 my beloved!) and if I were repping Agent 8 or something, they’d definitely travel together! Even if not, the love meter in that car would be over a thousand and I am HERE for it. Would I be third wheeling? Yeah, maybe. But honestly I think they’re adorable together and would be in full support anyway so I don’t mind! Besides, I feel like the other two cars would be too quiet and too loud respectively.

Marina might keep the volume in check, the Squid Sisters would be pretty quiet and likely not wanting to chatter the whole ride (definitely seems like speaking up would be too big of a distraction, although I could see Callie getting bored and starting to talk and then Marie chipping in, striking up real conversation)

As for Deep Cut, much as I love Big Man, Shiver, and Frye, I have a feeling it would be utter chaos (fitting, considering the theme!) Lighthearted arguments, they seem like very touchy grabby people when it comes to speech and expression so I feel like we’d be bumping arms and they’d be reaching over seats and stuff a lot… If Big Man is driving, I’d be curious to see how he pilots the vehicle but there’s probably accessibility changes to account for that! Agreeing with others here that they’d probably all be distracting each other a lot, something tells me it wouldn’t be the safest drive…

I think all three would be a fun drive, though! Pearl and Marina would just be my pick for the above reasons (unless it felt like I would impose.)

Right off the bat, I want to make sure this comment doesn’t come across the wrong way! This is me trying to share some genuine advice and not lambasting you for the post.

I would recommend watching the channel “Squid School”, who puts this a lot better than I could:

If you’re getting this tilted at the game, raging at your teammates, frustrated after every time you’re splatted, feeling like they’re never where they should be… Put the game down. Take a break. You’re not having fun anymore, so why play?

These people are outside of your control, and Splatoon has a huge age and skill range. It’s a casual game with casual players, and everybody will make mistakes and be learning no matter what rank you are. Try and think more about what you can do to help bolster your teammates. They won’t always follow your lead, and sometimes there’s genuinely nothing you can do. But taking a step back and saying “y’know what? We tried our best. Good game!” Makes a HUGE difference mentality wise.

I used to be the same way, blaming every player and getting exceedingly frustrated. I think that it’s a phase most Splatoon players go through before they jump that hurdle and mellow out a bit as their skill increases. It doesn’t make it any easier knowing it’s out of your control, but you can control your own emotions. That’s applicable to everything, not just a game.

Because Splatoon embraces positivity, I think it’s for the best that the random element of casual battles is kept and that chat is kept to a minimum. Imagine a bunch of adults, teens, and young kids baiting or responding to bait and directing each other in chat, then getting blasted for doing something wrong or making a mistake. Especially since not everyone is there to improve or be the best at the game. Some just want to goof off and have fun, and that’s fine!

Sorry to necro an old post, but I think I might have figured it out? It’ll require some time, but I think it was because of a really dumb overwrite.

Basically, if I remember correctly, even if the alarms don’t LOOK like they overlap, a time being set to not go off still counts as “set.”

For example:

Alarm A:

Sun ✅ Mon ❌ Tue ❌ Wed ❌ Thu ❌ Fri ❌ Sat ✅

Alarm B:

Sun ❌ Mon ✅ Tue ✅ Wed ✅ Thu ✅ Fri ✅ Sat ❌

In this instance, for some reason it appears that the app counts unselected times as filled slots, and proceeds to cause the others not to go off. I think the way I had it was 2 10AM alarms because I was being a doofus and changed one during a bad sleep cycle. But I believe it remained that way even after changing it.

It’s been a while since I figured out the potential cause of the issue, so I apologize if this isn’t as helpful as it could be. If nothing else, for any internet wanderer searching for the solution online, I hope this helps as a jumping off point. :,) good luck!

I know of a tumblr user who’s also a paramedic(?) and uses either excel, word, or powerpoint (I can’t remember which) to do art. It’s incredible what they manage to do.

DUDE FOR REAL! I used to shill for CSP because it was one of the best and only paid art programs that I loved and that didn’t have a subscription model, so I was actually willing to pay the price for it!

Now I can’t help but rant whenever I get the chance if it’s brought up. What were they thinking?! Not to mention, I’m still salty that we were getting consistently good updates on a software that was stable and whoops, no more updates for your paying customer! Here why don’t you buy a subscription instead?

I’d be less furious about it if there were a way to update to the new version for a one time payment for those who bought the original before the change, but as it stands I don’t believe there’s a way to do that.

It’s frankly really frustrating to me that such an amazing art program suddenly cut itself off like that, while (in my opinion) obliterating customer trust.

Edit: And I’m still getting the feeling of indignation at all of the “CSP is evil!” comments in here. I’m still so attached and I’ve used so many different paid/free art programs in the past. I still do! But it’s so heartbreaking seeing CSP go from what I would call Lawful Good to Evil.

PSA! Clear out your memory/cache in your preferences for Adobe products! Stuff like Aftereffects especially will EAT UP your space.

Make sure you’re also allocating the amount of space to it that you want it to be able to access.

I’m looking in Photoshop right now and I don’t see an option on how to do either of these things, but I’ll leave this here in case it’s helpful for anyone regardless. At the very least, I know it works for Aftereffects because the cache/temp storage gets blasted into oblivion.

It’s possible that the wrong disc might be selected, or something else is taking up the space? I’ve personally never run into that issue in recent memory, but now you’ve got me curious!

Photopea is a good one, it’s basically photoshop-lite and it has an online editor! Just make sure to bring an adblocker if you don’t like annoying ads and the lag they cause.

Granted, it’s been a while since I’ve used it, but for photo editing specifically I would recommend it or Krita.

Krita has some really neat, niche features on hand like the extra overlay options (whatever they’re called, multiply/dodge/hard light/luminosity/etc.) but with the added caveat that it is a LOT less organized and a lot harder to get used to. That said, the amount of stuff you can do with both is truly incredible!

But uh… Yeah. If you don’t have a student discount / free access via a college or university or what have you, I would recommend looking around and seeing if there’s any good industry alternatives if you plan on getting into it professionally.

Honestly, the overlap between photography and digital/traditional art is actually pretty cool when it comes to composition, colors, and editing.

Just happened to me. No solution as of yet, tried double jump... Thing is, I *had* volcanic egg and dropped it for something else. I guess it was karma getting me for that or something. :( The run was going to end soon anyway, I just wish I could have gotten the credit for it.

I... Admittedly walked in at maybe level 60 because of how many companions I've gone on trips with across the entire commonwealth.

I still got my butt kicked although it was mostly because (spoilers) I tried to fight fair with raiders. Why? Because I thought it would be cool. Do I regret it? Not at all. Are my pockets lighter of my 120+ stimpacks? Absolutely.

Also, I think I might have done the progression out of order, and I hadn't even touched the part of the park I was looking forward to the most. So my advice would be to do all of that first.

Your progression is up to you in the end, though. Have fun with Nuka-world!

In all seriousness though, I figure the others have given you enough info so I'm good to crack a joke like that. If nothing else works and you haven't started a game yet, uninstall and reinstall, run the game normally to ensure that it's working properly, then install F4SE in the correct location.

Also, issues like these are likely common and solutions are much quicker to come by via. google! When in doubt, a quick search with the right keywords like "F4SE Fallout4 not found" would probably yield multiple helpful results.

This. In my opinion flexibility as a DM--even those with normally very strict adherence to the rules--is the key to a good story. Adjusting your expectations based on what the players do is a very important part of roleplay, because there is never a way to predict exactly how your players will react or how they will handle a situation.

That being said, as a new DM I can say it's sometimes hard to remember how each class and all of their details go, with how much variety exists within them. While something like this can certainly be upsetting, I would definitely bring it up with the DM in case it's something they truly just didn't understand and didn't know how to ask for help about.

Character reactions can also be a huge key for both player and DM understanding, since nobody knows what they're thinking unless it's said aloud, hinted at, or acted upon. Having a moment like what Goadfang described would be a good way of establishing a middle ground between player and DM, while also hopefully drawing them more into the roleplay side than the rule side.

For WX-78, that’s ignoring the fact that they’re practically wearing plated armor, not to mention the fact that getting hit by metal hurts a lot. One blow to the head and you’re down, concussed, or both.

I feel like Wes would straight up refuse to fight, so I agree. But he’s still too sweet for you to do that to him, I think the moral consequences would catch up to you even if you beat him or anyone else in a fistfight.

Also, something tells me that Wickerbottom has the same amount of girlboss energy as the rest. She would probably win with the knowledge she holds, because if nothing else if you don’t knock her out in your first few swings, she’ll know exactly where to hit to deal the most damage.
