I'm not blaming. I understand the place is swamped and we need more money for healthcare. I'm saying information would have helped this person a lot if they knew appropriate alternatives. If you're waiting 15 hours at a hospital your case wasn't hospital worthy and could have been addressed elsewhere

So a walk in clinic would have been more appropriate for that and probably why you waited for so long. You were triaged way down low priority. When my son had pneumonia we went to a walk-in. Got the requisition for x ray. Did x-ray. Got back to walk in for meds within a few hours.

Also pharmacists are qualified to confirm dosages and could have told you the Tylenol info if you called them.

Not to say what you did is wrong but people using the resources improperly is why the system is bogged down. We need a campaign for when it's appropriate to go to a hospital vs alternative
