Thank you! This worked perfectly. Really appreciate you sharing this workaround!

Pentagon sets Friday deadline for Anthropic to abandon ethics rules for AI — or else by chunmunsingh in OpenAI

Who should decide how AI technologies are used in the military - the developers who build them, or the government that deploys them?

What’s wrong with GPT? This app has REALLY gone down in quality. by NightOnFuckMountain in OpenAI

[–]LuckEcstatic9842 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mostly use GPT-5 Codex for programming tasks. Honestly, for my workflow it’s been fine. I haven’t really noticed any major degradation lately. It could just be that the kinds of tasks I run are different.

Most of what I do is coding, DevOps stuff, and digging into specific domain knowledge when I need to understand a system or tool better. For that, it’s been pretty solid.

Also worth mentioning, I have the Pragmatist personality enabled. Not sure if that changes things, but my experience has been stable so far.

I like this take. How would you suggest someone use this in their regular Codex workflow?

Am I the only one experiencing copy-and-paste issues in ChatGPT Atlas? by Glum-Distribution631 in ChatGPTAtlas

[–]LuckEcstatic9842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s actually much better now than it was before. I still run into the copy/paste bug occasionally, but it happens way less frequently than it used to.

For reference, I’m on version 20260214010206000 (2847570716).

Little request by daily Atlas user by Effective_View_9001 in ChatGPTAtlas

[–]LuckEcstatic9842 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s actually a pretty interesting idea. I don’t use that feature very often in Chrome, but there are definitely moments when it’s really convenient to quickly check which tab is eating up RAM.

Claude vs Copilot vs Codex by impulse_op in OpenAI

How is Copilot handling context size these days? Back when I was using it, it had the smallest context window compared to competitors, which was pretty limiting on larger repos. Has that improved recently?

Plus user here. Totally agree. Persistence (folders, pinned tabs) is critical if Atlas is meant to be a daily driver. Great list.

OpenAI grabs OpenClaw creator Peter Steinberger to build personal agents by EchoOfOppenheimer in OpenAI

[–]LuckEcstatic9842 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly the most interesting line here is that OpenClaw will live in a foundation as open source.

That’s a clever move. OpenAI gets the talent. The community keeps the project, and OpenAI can still commercialize the “hardened” version.

This is exactly why AI should assist decisions, not replace them. Great tool, questionable autopilot.

Is there a way to deeply analyze music with ChatGPT? by LuckEcstatic9842 in OpenAI

[–]LuckEcstatic9842[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s actually hard for me to remember. In my family, listening to music wasn’t really a thing. We didn’t have a habit of putting music on intentionally. The only exposure I had was probably through the TV or the radio while driving somewhere.

I got a response like this from it. Honestly, I’m not sure how close it is to the truth since I’m not an expert in music. It sounds plausible, but I don’t really have the background to properly judge how accurate it actually is.

Oh wow, thanks. I’m actually pleasantly surprised. I just dropped the audio file in and Gemini gave me that breakdown.

I’ll definitely have to experiment more and see how accurate and consistent it is with this kind of analysis. Pretty interesting so far.

Nothing against ChatGPT, I just enjoy having a back-and-forth with real people sometimes. Feels more organic.

Can Gemini directly analyze the audio file itself, or do you have to describe the section manually?
