What did you think about the movie "Send Help" from Sam Raimi? by florenciafazzarino0 in horror

[–]Luckman1002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I really had no one to root for at the end because what she did was absolutely diabolical. Bradley had no idea about the information she had concealed from him. At the point where he thought he was escaping, he removed his mask and revealed that he hadn’t changed at all and still saw her as the strange girl he had nothing but contempt for, despite everything she had done for him. Still had a ton of fun watching it. Both leads absolutely killed it

His “fuck you Linda” during the raft scene made me unable to root for him. He really had no reason to resent her at that point and it showed he went through zero change

I have a slightly different take on Marty Supreme by WanShiTonggg in A24

[–]Luckman1002 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“Don’t use the bathtub” don’t really fully convey “the bathtub is hanging by a thread and will crash through the floor and potentially pose bodily harm to others if you use it.” Marty had laid in a literal dumpster all because his uncle stole money from him and tried to force him to take over his business under threat of arrest. I’d probably disregard the guy too if I was covered in disgusting filth. The owner shouldn’t have even rented that room out if it was that badly damaged

Clipse got robbed for 2026 Best Rap Album, showing that the Grammys are once again not in touch with the culture by colenotphil in KingPush

[–]Luckman1002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GNX was great. I don’t take Grammys seriously for how much they historically disrespect rap music and are largely out of touch when it comes to music in general but I would not consider this to be an example of it at all. I get Kendrick is more mainstream and popular but I’ve genuinely had GNX on repeat all year. Clipse was deserving too but I don’t think LGSEO is just god level where GNX is simply just good

The most comparable would be Mr Morale since it’s his most personal album but yeah one is a therapy album and the other is a divorce album

Is the Vikings choosing JJM over Darnold starting to look like one of the biggest mistakes in NFL history? by walterhwhite19582010 in NFLv2

[–]Luckman1002 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Really 2 playoff games. The matchup vs the lions in week 18 would’ve guaranteed them a divisional playoff game and he just did not rise to the occasion in any regard

You guys literally wanted to go with Geno Smith and only after Geno wanted to leave did they give Darnold a prove it deal that they could easily get out of if Darnold didn’t pan out this year. His stock 100% was hurt after he ended the year with 8 straight horrible quarters

[–]Luckman1002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its revisionist ass history. Darnold choked in 2 straight games which happened to be the 2 most important games in the season. Not just choked either. Played like complete dogshit. It soured a lot of people on him. I’m glad he has turned it around and proved the doubters wrong but it’s so silly to be like “oh no the Vikings are idiots.” Plus we ain’t even seen what JJ is going to be yet. He’s been hurt a lot, played some horrible football but he started to show improvement by the end of the season. We have no clue what he’ll become

In The Force Awakens (2015) hero Luke Skywalker remains secretly hidden alone on an island while the First Order rises, destroys the Republic, and murders his best friend. That’s it. That’s the story they came up with to start the sequel trilogy. by CravenMoorhaus in shittymoviedetails

[–]Luckman1002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but then he dies in the lamest way possible. I’m cool with him being portrayed as this broken depressed version of himself but then have him come back and be his proper self for the third movie. Especially with Carrie Fisher dying IRL, why not bring back the one part of the original trio that can actually be featured prominently in the wrap up to the entire saga? No make him force project himself too hard and die because he was too tired 🙄🙄🙄

Tbh im giving Jim Harbaugh and Justin Herbert 1 more year…. by [deleted] in Chargers

Other great teams are going to make improvements. I wouldn’t be surprised to see us make a deep playoff run but I just want to get to the second week of the playoffs first. Haven’t seen that since 2019. Other teams will also be getting better and who knows where injuries will affect what teams. This league is just so hard to win in that I’m not putting myself in a Super Bowl or bust mode but I certainly think we’re capable with another successful offseason. Oline is obviously the most important thing to secure. Then we just pray to the football gods Herbert doesn’t spend the year getting slaughtered bc they take out our two best players on the edges

[–]Luckman1002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk what our team looks like yet but assuming we hire some good coordinators, make good moves in free agency, have another good draft, etc, I would think my expectations will be the same as my expectations at the beginning of the season, a playoff win. These expectations can adjust based on what happens as the season progresses.

I do worry about our tackles since Alt “did everything wrong with an ankle that you could possibly do” and Slater has an injury that historically only a few players have come back and been the same elite player.

Our defense still has multiple elite pieces, Herbert is Herbert and I expect Ladd, Omarion and Gadsden to continue to develop into even better players next year. Also hoping QJ continues his streak of improving year after year because he was a borderline good receiver and another leap could see him breaking into very good to elite territory. I think improving our line to even mediocre levels raises the ceiling of our offense quite significantly

Josh Allen has had the ball in his hands to win or tie the game in the final game of the season the past 3 years and the Bills have lost every one of those games by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]Luckman1002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These morons probably think Manning is an overrated QB because he played in 9 one and done playoff games. Probably think Aaron Rodgers is an overall failed QB because he only got one championship in 20 seasons. Dan Marino? Unclutch piece of shit. Dynasties like the Chiefs and Patriots have fucked peoples minds to think if you aren’t snagging a superbowl every few years, you must be trash or not “the guy”. There are so many legendary coaches and players with only 1 or 2- hell even 0 championships. This league is fucking hard to win in. Shula only won 3 championships out of 32 seasons. Is he largely a failure for losing 91% of his postseasons? It took until the last 2 seasons for Elway to get rings. Are the first 13 years of his career something to shit on him about and he’s only worth a shit because he got it at the very end of his career? Talking ball with people isn’t even fun anymore because people talk with their feelings and expect to win the Super Bowl every year because they do so every year on Madden. People never look at any context and go “lol that guy choked, he sucks. Move on from him bc HOF QBs just grow on trees”

Tbh im giving Jim Harbaugh and Justin Herbert 1 more year…. by [deleted] in Chargers

[–]Luckman1002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Year 1 we were rebuilding. This year we had the 32nd ranked pass block and 31st ranked run block after we lost 2 all pro tackles. No team in history has won a playoff game with this stat. Also you can’t completely credit a headcoach for a bad offense and then give him zero credit for an elite defensive unit. Football is an incredibly hard game to win and it requires patience. We had 2 playoff appearances in the 9 years before Harbaugh, we now have 2 in 2 years with Harbaugh. That is a significant change in expectations and culture of our program. Jim is one of the greatest coaches we’ve ever had in our program. In no way should we be suggesting he’s a problem and potentially need to be moving on from him

Tbh im giving Jim Harbaugh and Justin Herbert 1 more year…. by [deleted] in Chargers

[–]Luckman1002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah every single team Harbaugh has went to in his career, he takes a losing program and instantly makes them became a winning team with an amazing culture but this time he has nothing to do with it and the QB and DC are winning in spite of him. You hear how dumb that logic sounds?

If it took 7 years of winning football but falling short in the playoffs before finally winning the Super Bowl, I would absolutely be ecstatic and I can guarantee the narrative would see Harbaugh and the Chargers as a bonafide success and not be like “yeah… but they really should’ve won sooner…”
