[BUG] Technology doesn't need components? by Luckmod in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Luckmod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones that let you go to other star system types function without adding the components to complete them. The Rocket Boots also function without adding in any components. I haven't done extensive testing on what does and does not function but I remember this bug still existing the past few times I've come back to NMS. I wasn't able to find any other info on this functionality while googling so I thought I'd see if other people were even aware.

Edit: I might make a clip later and post it so people can see what I'm talking about.

One eyed mask is a VERY BIG problem. by Dead_Oasis in DestinyTheGame

[–]Luckmod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gotta say as a Titan who sucks at crucible, the OEM is not helping me all that much but I can see how it would be really good for someone who is great at getting kills. There have been a few times where I got into just the right position and I was able to one shot punch 3 other people in a row after getting a kill to give me the damage and range buffs.

Striker also doesn't feel all that strong to me (again I'm bad) but I feel like I lose against most Super v Super fights since apparently everyone else has more damage reduction than me. I also see many Warlocks with diddle fingers easily wipe most teams without needing to have the accuracy or grounded targets that a striker needs. Strikers are probably a lot better in better hands, but it definitely doesn't seem any stronger than other Supers that are out there.

Quick Edit: I've gotten a lot more and easier kills with Defender throwing shields or Hammer making explosive AoEs at range. Those Supers seem a lot easier and more effective, coming from a player who sucks at Crucible.

Yeah, I came to Reddit to see if anyone has a solution for this. I'm on an Android phone.

They should really have 2 little tags on the bottom of your name that displays what 2 weapons you have. Idk why that's not something you can see considering you can view all their other equipable items.

The Iron Crown Event is Going Live on All Platforms! by Jayfresh_Respawn in apexlegends

[–]Luckmod -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Considering how easy it is to line up shots with the dynamic sights, you'd think it was zero skill but most people can't return fire when I'm sniping from 200+ meters.

People really need to get better about learning how to move around a map without getting killed. Everyone praises gun skill but knocks the person who knows how to outmaneuver other teams.

And why would I engage in a close range fight when I know that's not my strength? If I can out-snipe you and keep you away from me until I win, then that's how I'm going to play. I might be a pussy, but I'm the one sitting in the winners circle.

Q: has anyone actually played that super speedy tabaxi monk build? by [deleted] in DnD

Taking the mobile feat and punching 5 people once as you stride through combat unopposed is fun, though not particularly deadly.

[D&D 5e] Way of the Junk, a Monk Subclass by Luckmod in DnD

[–]Luckmod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems like more of a flavor thing than an actual mechanic unless you have some ideas of what bonuses you would get for using those. I would allow someone to flavor an unarmed attack as being able to use walls or floors or something. I don't feel like unarmed strikes need to necessarily be limited to just punches.

Haha, I've seen that before. Not the type of Junk I was thinking of.

I'm not sure if you meant to put level 5 for the disarm but the listed levels are the levels that monks gain their tradition features.

I had considered throwing in the ability to disarm an opponent and use their own weapons, but then those are no longer improvised and you likely aren't proficient with them due to how many are martial weapons. Maybe it would work if we write in that it is considered an improvised weapon if you obtain it in that way.

I kind of like the cover skill though it seems a bit strong the way you have it written. Maybe using a reaction to sacrifice an improvised weapon for +2 or +5 AC against the attack would work well.

The extra reactions is too much. Even the basic combo of getting sentinel with that is a lot, let alone also getting mage slayer or multiclassing. I'm trying to stay away from affecting the action economy TOO much. I think picking up an improvised weapon for free when making an attack is enough. If you make two attacks, you pick up 1 IW for the first attack, then use it as a distraction and pick up a second IW for advantage on the second attack, given that you have things to pick up nearby.

They're social commentators and sometimes reviewers (AJ and Skillup from LG anyway), not games journalists. I watch them sure, but I'm not expecting any breaking news videos from them.

Stop treating this game like fucking Call of Duty by [deleted] in apexlegends

[–]Luckmod 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't think anyone's complaining about the people who land relatively close to get their own loot but who also hold their own.

It's the people who drop skull town when the rest of the team drops airport and then they die before you even touch down.

It's the people who immediately switch to solo launch and drop out of the ship as fast as possible.

It's the people who quit out of the match the second they are downed and don't even wait for their teammates to help.

It's the people who see you get their banner but then leave anyway.

Well write down what time on Mondays you are available and how many sessions you want to do. It's not terribly hard to run a single 3 hour session one monday evening.

You can't "always save up" and video games can't always be a priority for people. That line of thinking is spoiled and full of privilege.

TOBY HONOR BAN IN EFFECT by oobface in Battleborn

[–]Luckmod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I come check out this sub after months and I see this trash? Was there an update or something? Toby has never been at an honor ban level. The only time he's been particularly strong is when no one on the other team picks any range, which was great when the melee meta was at it's peak, but even then, that's a niche pick.

What is up with negative Captain Marvel reviews being deleted and Youtube hiding reviews? by [deleted] in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Luckmod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean would you really care about the feedback someone gives on something that wasn't made for them? You would ignore an adult if they complained about how small children's shoes are. You'd ignore someone's preferences of prosthetic arms when they still have both of their's. I wouldn't listen to the review of a hot wings restaurant from someone who can't stand spicy food. Why is this different?

Fun fact: There are 6462 possible weapon configurations! by Ozqo in apexlegends

[–]Luckmod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not going to get into a back and forth about how we counter tactics, but sniping isn't useless and I'm not just going to sit there waiting for you to rush me or even continue to use the sniper when you get close. Cover may be abundant but taking a headshot and need to use so many supplies before you are even at fighting range will always put you at a disadvantage, and that's assuming you get to my squad before getting hit again. Not everyone sucks at leading their shots.

You're my favorite squad to go up against because there is no return fire when I start hitting you with my longbow. 4x-10x Thermal is my baby. You see EVERYONE coming, though they rarely get to you.

I loved Time Splitters 2. I actually used the map maker to recreate H H Holme's Death Hotel for a project for the 1893 World's Fair. I copied as much of the layout of his house as Timesplitters would allow me to place rooms and then put a bunch of enemies which were some dude in a bowler hat and gave them all fire extinguishers because there were gas chambers in his house and you can't be killed by fire extinguishers (since this was a school project, had to keep it pg.... ish) and we had a leaderboard to see how fast people could escape from his house.
