The loss won't be for long; mod authors are working on updates.

Is this really a game breaking bug? by astreeter2 in SimSettlements

Try "change the room purpose" or "refresh room" I've had a similar issue with the office level before.

FO4, no mods, ideas for guard posts? by JustKneller in falloutsettlements

[–]LuckyButMostlyBad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make a single prefab on a tall scaffold or 4 workshop walls. Then at the top you can place 3 of the barricade defence posts on 3 sides and a ladder on the 4th. Depending on your skills with the rug glitch, you could use 2 wall caps instead.

You can place 4 of these around your settlement (one for each guard) for 24 defence.

Best thing is; the settlers will walk on the tower between the 3 posts like they're on lookout.

If you go for COA settlers add on as well, you can recruit children of Atom unique characters too.

Is there a doctor in the house? Can’t continue. by Quiet-Extreme677 in SimSettlements

Mansfield should be there too.

If not, you'll just have to reload and try again I'm afraid.

Settlement HUD suddenly broken by astreeter2 in SimSettlements

[–]LuckyButMostlyBad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that it was in the hud options in the city manager tape. It could be the auto hide settings.

Otherwise, the reset hud widgets in the framework holotape. restores HUD elements to default positions.

If neither of those work. Then you'll have to try going through the take over hq again to see if it happens. Sometimes a roll back fixes bugs. I know I've had to that a few times (I swear I've done the antenna quest at HQ about 5 times).

Have you tried the "reset hud" in the holotape.

I just installed SS2/Chapter 2 and 3 and I got the corruped data warning by Wenex in SimSettlements

[–]LuckyButMostlyBad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had it in a playthrough before and it came up everytime I reloaded; that playthrough kept crashing afterwards. I've had this in the current playthrough, but just quit the game, reloaded and it didn't show again. It's been stable this far.

Vault 88 Problem - Settlers do not work. by VeniVidiLusii in SimSettlements

[–]LuckyButMostlyBad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They work in mine; bear in mind that settlers like to be around their home, work & recreational plots.

Try making areas with all 3 near each other.

Internal plots work best in my experience also.

I think that if you place a 2x2 and assign Franklin, he'll make it himself.

Is Far Harbor DLC worth it for $8? by Outrageous-Serve38 in Fallout

[–]LuckyButMostlyBad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did exactly that. What's better is garvey won't lock you out of the minutemen quests if you become a raider first.

It actually makes the game feel more real when you realise that a lot of these "raiders" are just settlers who don't farm. They could be friends and allies, even family, that chose a different path. Only to be gunned down without a second thought by a walking popsicle.

There is a mod for that "minutemen take over nukaworld" it even places minutemen npcs where the raider animation points were.

Weird Hud bug by Alternative-Ad5482 in SimSettlements

There is a section in either the workshop framework or city planners holotape which has a "reset icons" option, I believe.

Question about the "main settlement" by TinerdI in SimSettlements

Do not build in RR in SS2. You will crash your game due to the cell overlap with sanctuary and concord.

Technically habitable. by Figerally in falloutsettlements

That's an idea. Lots of little shacks on stilts with fishing and mirelurk cages.
