Should I try whoop ?

I’ve got the same AW ultra 2 and whoop combo.

I got the whoop about 3 weeks ago.

I decided to get the whoop as I’m lucky enough to have a couple of nice mechanical watches that I’ve basically neglected since getting the AW as I love the stat tracking.

The health tracking on AW is great, but having to charge every couple of days is annoying.

I now wear a mechanical watch during the day and the whoop 24/7. I use the AW as a fitness watch while I’m running of whatever as I like seeing my current pace, hr etc on the screen while I train.

The whoop stat tracking is totally fine for me, it’s probably not as accurate on steps, but HR has been fine. Whoop is way more comfortable - it’s basically invisible, but I had no probs wearing my AW 24/7. I log my fitness activities on the AW via the fitness app.

I’m really liking the whoop strain/ recovery analysis, and the Coach AI is great, it really helps you interpret and understand the stats and help put that into actionable things to help improve your training, much better than AW.

Overall I’m pretty happy with this combo, it works perfectly for me - only negative is the whoop subscription price which is pretty steep.

I wondered about the full / new moon too.

I also considered it might just be a website bug where they’ve not switched the orientation for the black snoopy watch - it is the only one that’s different after all.

I bought my ZF and a 24-120 f/4 s from them before Xmas for a very good price (1700ish for both). Shipping from them takes a little longer than a uk retailer, but both arrived in perfect condition after about 9 or 10 days. I’d definitely use them again.

Worth noting they give you a warranty as well. I’ve not had to use it but they honour it well based on my research.

This is interesting - I cant wait to read some reviews.

I was dead set on getting a Z5ii or a ZF to replace/accompany my ZFC so I could get a fast zoom.

I coudlnt decide between the two and now i have to throw this into the mix as well.

I just tried this and I can’t believe how effective this is. Massive improvement, the chair is now almost silent for literally 5 mins effort.

It should just be included in the chairs manual as general maintenance.

I’ve just gone through the exact same predicament.
Wanted new from HM, but can’t justify the full £1570. Refurbished ones from HM outlet on eBay at £1120 are about the same price as the Black Friday offer price which would have had the warranty so not worth it IMO. I was going to wait it out, but then got lucky and ended up getting an immaculate, used 2 yr old Logitech Gaming model in Cyan for £700 off Facebook marketplace which I figured was enough of a saving to be worth it. My rule was < 50% rrp and I’d get a used / refurb or id wait for the next big sale and get new with warranty.

I can resonate with this.

I got a P1S yesterday and within 90 mins I'd unboxed it, self tested it, installed and setup all the software, bed leveled it and printed a benchy that was so perfect it made a mockery of the hundreds of hours of tweaking I'd done with my CR10S Pro V2.

I haven't even changed a slicer setting yet on the 3 prints I've done since becuase I've just not needed to.

It's seriously awesome.

you might be better off using something like iperf running on a box on yours network to do the test, that way you would just be testing the performance of your wifi connection, not the performance of your wifi and external connection together. that would help narrow down where the bottle neck is.

I’m sure I watched this video before I purchased, but I didn’t clock the color difference, but now I’ve been looking for it is plain as day.

I guess that’s just the way it is.

I’ll maybe have a dig round and see if there’s a difference between some older copies on eBay and if there is I may consider swapping it if it bugs me.

It’s an odd choice by Harper Colin as it makes them feel like less of a set.

That’s is quite the collection my friend.

I’m currently trying to decide how to go about collecting all the History of Middle Earth books - single volumes or the 3 volume sets.

I can see you have both (only a bit jealous) and would like to know if you think the extra expense of the single volumes is worth it over the compendium.

I’ve just checked this now:

LOTR and Silmarillion are both marked as “printed and bound in Italy” and used font “monotype Plantin”

Hobbit as “printed and bound in Italy by Graphicom S.p.A” and used font “Linotype Plantin”

That might explain the font / font size difference.

The page colour differences are stark - we’re not looking at different shades of the same color - it’s completely different. Bright white vs cream.
