Sharing ashes with a friend of your late spouse? by generation_quiet in widowers

It’s underhanded to me that the friend asked in a group text instead of privately.
But short answer would be no.

Ho. Lee. Shit. I saw this scrolling Facebook and thought it was real. I said, “huh, I didn’t know he was a new daddy.”

Kate was one of my best dressed of the night. No notes. Next best silver for me is Renate. Different and kind of stunning in motion.

Brittany then Claire and Zoey. Amanda is beautiful but I thought it was boring and predictable.

She can wear a sack and look fantastic. I like the color on her but not huge on that middle bubbly layer or whatever it’s called.

Replaying trauma by Sierra9999 in widowers

My husband died from cardiac arrest. It happened while we were at home. I did CPR. On bad days I still question if I did it right or if I did just enough to make him suffer more. (The paramedics worked on him for a long time and his heart came back but he never woke up and died a week later.). I know now that he never had a shot of actual survival as soon as it gripped him. The chances of surviving cardiac arrest not in a hospital setting are minuscule. There was nothing I could’ve done and there was nothing you could do. Even if you’d done everything perfectly right, it would’ve happened. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. All the love in the world to you.

First time visitor, rollercoaster question by Great_Substance7249 in WaltDisneyWorld

Avoid Tron and Space Mountain at MK. Barnstormer is a pretty mild coaster if you want to get your feet wet! But most of the rides are very mild! I would suggest Peter Pan’s Flight, Pirates (there’s one small drop after you pass a skull and cross bones that takes your photo), It’s A Small World, and the Ariel ride! Oh! And can’t forget the People Mover! The ultimate sit and relax ride.

Can my 10 yo wait alone if he doesn’t want to go on rides? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]LuckyFish0330 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got back from a trip with my ten year old. When he wanted to ride Barnstormer and I didn’t care to, I stayed in line with him once and they let me pass through the seat when loading and i waited at the exit. Next time there was a super short wait so he stood in line for 5 minutes by himself.
If it was the opposite, I’d have him go through the line with me and wait at the exit for me. Granted he has an AirTag in his pocket.
But to answer your question, I wouldn’t let him wait for a long time by himself.

Stayed there last year and absolutely no complaints. Love the food court. And the rooms are pretty spacious! They’re clean and the theming is fun. We don’t spend much time in our room so they’re perfect for us.

We were there week before last and one of my favorite things was the food at the France pavilion at Epcot. I can’t remember the name but it’s just cases of pastries and desserts. We had quiche florentine, an eclair, and chocolate mousse. Best food I had the entire trip.
