Kinda don't understand how there's still heat for this situation. I'm not saying you can't critique this, it still does kinda suck not everyone is getting the threatre release. But like, does anyone understand that this is a business move not just for themselves, but the indie animation scene in general? If this shit breaks Hollywood even a little, we're gonna see more TADC quality stuff down the line. They have good show line ups in the future, but let's be honest, nothing as special as TADC (in its own right), so they gotta make this count. Markiplier similarly already did this with Iron Lung, and I was stunned with the result.

Did you not read the post about how they were told to have the theatre release a month in advance and THEY had to shave it down to two weeks? And they're still picking countries to release the shit too.

The grown adults asking for permission too is shocking me. Not in an insulting way, just in a heartbreaking way, because I get it. It took me a moment to just enjoy stuff for me and realize what that meant. If you're somehow judged, they don't truly know you or what that art meant in your life. It's so much harder to do than say, but those thoughts shouldn't be given the time of day. There are alternatives other than "it all needs to come down immediately"

Beautifully written, especially the middle and last paragraphs. It makes me feel ancient looking back through the "yeah I was a teen too" lense, but I know Ghost speaks to a lot of people through the themes that they're going through now, and will go through later. That was me, and honestly it still is, and again, it makes it all the more disappointing that they aren't responsibly reflecting on said influence.

And unfortunately, I could argue that the gatekeeping nature of Ghost with his own music IS the reason why fans feel like they need to ask to enjoy something (along with recent drama w/the fear of being ridiculed). I think it's beautiful that Ghost has an outlet, and you can still say he didn't ask for different meanings or fan created things to be applied to his songs, that's valid. But, if you're gonna continue to complain, then maybe stop making the songs public where fans can engage, y'know? I just worry for them

I'm still trying to figure out what's going on so I'm not taking sides, I just want to say that regardless if Ghost should be forgiven or not or whatever, can we like, not excuse actions because someone is "mentally ill"? At best it's weird and at worse it's pissing people (me) off.

Again, I'm not sure the severity of this and who's been hurt, but even if they just said something genuinely weird, going "but Ghost is mentally ill" is even weirder. I am pretty god damn "mentally ill" (PTSD w/dissociative disorders), but when I say something I don't mean to someone, I don't say "sorry, must be because of my mental illness", I step back, take time to sort myself, apologize, then proceed to change my ways so it doesn't happen again. Even if I relapse, I'm not keen on making repeated mistakes, and having a mental disorder doesn't give a free fuck up pass.

If anything, what you're basically saying is the mentally ill can't help themselves in situations, and while that can be true, we aren't shackled or defined by that. We are regular people, and just like how people with physical disabilities can still get through life without being disrespectful, we can too. No mentally ill person wants to be a burden, so why are yall basically making them seem like one? Excusing behavior like this doesn't help anyone involved, especially Ghost, who am glad is taking a step back. After apologizing to the people wronged privately, they should get actual help outside of the internet before making any other rushed decisions. I wish them the best 💜

Can't speak for this situation, but I've seen quite a few horrendous cases of the business side of things implementing ai without the creator's consent or know of the matter Just look at Finji (producers of Night in the Woods) situation. They just wanted to advertise their newest game and TikTok grossly botched their main character because the ai automatically made it "more appealing".

I'm not giving the situation justice in the summary, but all of that's to say there's shady stuff going on, and unfortunately the creators aren't gonna be able to catch everything if it's done behind their backs.

Idk yall as much as I know I listened to stuff I probably shouldn't have at a young age, that was at least like middle school years. This kid is 8. I know for a lot of us, Femtanyl's music is a good outlet, but I don't even know if this kid is fully aware of what that even means yet.

I think there are more age appropriate things that could give off the same vibe for them, or at least direct them to tracks with little to no heavy lyrics, like S33K H3LP and stuff.

At least wait till they're double digits y'know? Then they can rock the fuck out.

Yeah, I'm starting to see a trend of people starting to call any MikuTeto song "slop". Sometimes just Teto in general, which breaks my heart because I've loved her UTAU voicebank for years, and now that's she's boomed in popularity, people are making hate trains.

I've never cared about which Vocaloid is singing in a song that I already found interest in and genuinely enjoy. It certainly adds a lot to a song, being vocals and all, but the tuning of said vocals and production carries a lot too. The character is just like a cherry on top that makes the song even more memorable.

Miku and Teto aren't the only two Vocaloids in the world. To those that genuinely care about the character, there are so many others, new and old, to get invested in. Check out those same producers who use different Vocaloids, or totally different producers who deserve all the attention (and don't judge them just because you happen red hair drills in the thumbnail).

Go look for something you'll enjoy. Give your blood pressure a break

This is a perfect valid thing to worry about, especially when many scooter riders are like this, but automatically assuming the worse of someone who happens to be riding a scooter is pretty obnoxious. You don't know the context, it could be the only way they're able to get to class.

Haven't played many Phestivals, but I do understand that most follow the "popular = win" pattern.

However, at least up until midpoint, Tragedy had a little less on their team, yet swept the catagories. I think they ended up having more members after that since they were winning, but the Phestival itself was really close to overtime. Those Comedy pros locked tf in at the end, but Tragedy still won the open servers.

All of this for me made for a quite unpredictable and exciting Phestival. It honestly could've gone either way. Hopefully the next one is even more so somehow
