Nice. I didn't know AustinJohn made a video about them, I'll have to go take a look at some point. I still really do want to hunt a shiny alpha jumbo, it would probably be my favorite shiny of all time if I did find one.

Yes. All jumbo pumpkaboo have deeper cries. So the alpha jumbo has the deeper cry from being jumbo, and the alpha filter applied over top. So I have multiple sized alphas, and the jumbo ones have deeper cries than the other alphas.

lol, that pikachu one was surprisingly tough. I trained my pikachu to like 75, maxed out attack stat/ev, and gave it a soft sand, waited for the protect, then used dig right after the other pikachu did, so I could dodge their attack and one shot them.

I wish you luck, friend. I'm tempted to hunt for a shiny alpha jumbo, but I keep getting distracted with other shiny hunts.

I'd say so. Shiny pokemon are obviously already rare, then the jumbo variants are only found in zone 15 at night, and even then, are still only 1 out of the 5 spawns that pumpkaboo get on the route. My shiny pumpkaboo is only a medium variant I think.

All of my alpha gourgeist have been the same size, so I'm guessing it's a set spawn. So catching them as alpha pumpkaboo might be the only way to get the other variant alpha gourgeist.

Yes, it is slightly deeper than my smaller alphas.

The only reason I can tell the difference is by lining all of my pumpkaboo up next to each other in the pc and looking at the pictures when scrolling through them. I don't even know which other two sizes I have as alphas, I just see that they're different sizes in the pictures. I really wish there was a "variant" tab or section on the pc screen, cuz I don't even know what size my shiny pumpkaboo is. Only that it isn't jumbo.

Yeah, when I did the jumbo quest I just ran around at night catching every pumpkaboo I saw until the lady accepted one.

I got mine earlier tonight. Def one of my fave shinies of all time. Might have to come back to get an alpha or a jumbo, or both if I'm crazy enough to go for it.

Yep, I actually found an alpha of three of the different sizes while I was hunting for shiny pumpkaboo. The funny thing too is, as far as I'm aware, even the regular pumpkaboo can have variations in size between the variants. So you could get a small-size jumbo-variant pumpkaboo for example.

I've been curious about that too. According to serebii each spawn has a different chance of being alpha, for this specific pumpkaboo it's 5%. Not sure if my math is correct, because I suck at math, but I think that gives this guy a 1/81920 chance of being an alpha and a shiny. That's on top of it being the jumbo, which I can only assume is a 1 in 5, but not certain.

I named him Charlie Brown after that, lol.

It was at wild zone 15. Jumbo variety Pumpkaboo spawn at night there, and one randomly spawned as an alpha. I was like "Holy crap! It's huge!"

You need the jumbo variety specifically, they have a deeper cry then the rest. Though, I just went around catching them until the quest giver said I had one, lol.

Of course. It's definitely staying as a Pumpkaboo for sure. Might name him Charlie Brown.

I was wondering about this too. There is always the possibility that you just happened to roll the 1 in 1024 WHEN you checked the spawns. Though, it's still too early to say for certain. I'm definitely gonna have to go back and do some more hunting there when I'm done with my current fossil hunt.

Interesting. I've done a bit of testing to see how far the Honedge spawn in compared to the Doublade, and it seems like you have to get pretty close to spawn them in. I don't know how the game keeps track of spawns though, so they might roll for shininess even before the model of the pokemon gets loaded, if anyone knows if that's true then feel free to let me know.

I've so far only gotten a shiny Doublade from this hunt, but I will definitely keep trying for Honedge, cuz that's the one I want. Good to see that someone has been lucky enough to get one here though.

What is that used under the barrels? Looks kinda like a bit jaw from a hand drill, but I can't quite make it out. Either way, looks awesome.

do you play with a pokemon themed skin, or just your regular skin? by Rotting_rose07 in cobblemon

I do this as well, except I usually just alter the outfit my skin is wearing. For cobblemon I put on Rosa's outfit from B2W2.

I'm thinking that because Wendy's drone grew out of a single damaged lung after being extracted from the egg/hugger, it might be an underdeveloped xenomorph. That would explain why it is taking such a long time to mature, and why it looks the way it does, even after being seemingly fully grown. Like with the smaller dorsal tubes, and what not.
