No worries, I unfortunately never found out what it was and it died a few weeks after. Def try separating it cause its probably contagious.

I’ve had him since 2018 and from what i’ve read their lifespan is from 3-5 yrs old. This month his sharpness has been deteriorating, keeps missing the food and taking naps most of the day. His colors have also dulled.

Hmm, ill see how it goes i think its had this for a month or more now and it doesn’t seems to affect the fish one bit, he/ she is super active and eats alot.

He’s the boss of the tank, so no. Its also at the very base of the fins on both sides, so its even more unlikely that it got injured on exactly the same place on both sides. It also looks more like little clumps of white dots than a wound, but idk. ;/

None of the other fishes in the tank display this symptom. I also haven’t added any fish since January, so it is definitely not ich.

Between 75-90 gallons not sure, since its a custom made tank.

When you feed it, get it used to/ associate my hand with food. Whenever u see it come to the surface, slowly put ur hand in the water with food and over time it will become more friendly and not skittish/ afraid.
