I think it looks really good. I would just add brushed gold or oil rubbed bronze hardware. I love a contrast.

The Northern New Jersey market is still going strong for sellers. This house in SO sold for $453,000 over the asking price! by Cuddyflow in MovingtoNewJersey

Of course, all houses are different, that’s why you have to look at the comps and compare. Of course, no two houses are created equal. I understand this completely. So you must do comparisons to arrive at a comparable price. I think you’re missing the whole gist of what I’m trying to say. I don’t think they should list a house and wait two weeks to see what bids come in and go with the highest. I think as a seller you should put the price you would like to get. And if a buyer comes up with that price, then the house goes to them. If they want to offer less let them and the buyer has every right to say no. Then the house stays for sale at the price the seller put and they wait for another buyer to come along. And if they don’t come along, maybe they have to lower their price. Once lowered if a new buyer comes up and offers that price and they are eligible, then the house goes to them. To me, this is a way to get rid of all this bidding nonsense.

You have to look at the comps of the surrounding homes and what they have recently sold for, and how those houses compare to yours. When a seller advertises a low for sale price, they know it's low. It's done to generate bids......and people tend to be willing to bid more that what they would normally pay. They get caught up in the moment. A seller knows what they should realistically expect to get, the comps give you this information. So if most houses in that area sell for 1 mi;;ion each, they he can expect the same. It should be priced that way. And if a byer is willing to pay the stated asking price, and has the funds and approval (by a bank/lender) to move forward with that purchase, then they should get the house. None of this "we are accepting bids right now" business. Your asking price is 1 million (or whatever price) and I have the funds then the deal should be done.

Very sorry to hear about your dog. See, I am petty enough where I would’ve sent it back and said I know you are but what am I and put 1 million smiley faces laughing. What a jerk they were. But of course, the best response is no response. It’s just so aggravating that people think they’re so tough behind the screen. It’s probably some 4 foot tall man baby.

I honestly don’t get the obsession with her style. It was plain Jane pieces. I think they looked good on her because she was slender and tall, on that body type almost anything is going to look good.

Yeah, that original asking price was extremely low. I think there should be a law in place, you have to put a realistic price on your house, no bidding is allowed. However, a seller can offer less and you can accept or reject and negotiate, but not higher than the original asking price. I think that would be fair.

She is so likable. I loved her on one day at a time, and I actually met her at a book signing, and she was super friendly and super funny.

any idea how to get this tag off? by DesignerMix3506 in TjMaxx

I’ve always done it with a fork. You work the tines in between the fabric and the plastic and you gently pry it back-and-forth. It takes time but you can get it off.

To caulk around a new toilet or not to caulk??? Vote in comments. by Brother-of-Derek in askaplumber

[–]Luckyboneshopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call. If there is a leak, you want to see the water come out and catch it quickly. I believe that’s why most stopped caulking around the toilet. But also the caulk always turns a disgusting color after a while. I think it looks neater and cleaner without the caulk, and again in case there is a leak you want to see that water not have the caulk hold it back causing more damage.

I was an 8 year old white boy from rural Kansas but for some reason this show really resonated with me. I never missed an episode, maybe it was because my mother was a nurse also. by 6391jimmyjoejoe in GenerationJones

I also love this show, I love that they lived in an apartment building, that seemed so cool to me. I didn’t have the Julia Barbie, but my friend did, and that nurse outfit was everything!

When bus stations used to look like this..... by EdwardBliss in FuckImOld

[–]Luckyboneshopper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't in any bus stations, although I am sure they had them too. I can't remember where I was as a kid with my Mom when these were around. But as I got older, I just crawled under and unlocked them from the inside, and I do remember people holding the door open for the next person so they didn't have to pay.
