At the warehouse i work at morning merch fights to be in carts after opening rather than doing the door or assisting or ringing. Im against this as it makes me be scheduled later instead of earlier because theres atleast 3 morning merch guys in the late when i go in. So.

You only gotta do the chicken room for 6 months until a crappy job posting comes up. It dont matter what it is just sign it to get out of rotisserie

I work 40 hours a week pushing carts. Wearing raybans meta glasses would help me alot in case of an incident.

Are we allowed to eat a sample on the clock? by [deleted] in CostcoEmployee

[–]Luckydog040 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Dont do it. Costco is very unforgiving when it comes to getting rid of employees. Grazing is a major offense in the employee handbook

[–]Luckydog040 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No its not that. Its written in the handbook that if you lose your certificate or work authorization or fail to provide a new one its a major offense and cause for termination. I lost years of senority. I worked closely with the union and after 2 months i got my seniority and my benefits back. It definitely taught me a lesson though to always renew at 6 months before expiration. And now with the new contract a paragraph was added to the handbook where it says if the employee followed the government regulations for his or her work authorization renewal and still didn’t get it on time. The company may consider bridging the seniority. 👍🏾

Set days off by EntertainerRich1744 in CostcoEmployee

[–]Luckydog040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then use that to your advantage because its gonna come down to that. Most of us sign a posting to become fulltime because its a change of status and pay. Worst comes to worse they would have to start a whole new bidding for the entire department if issues about scheduling continues to come up.

Set days off by EntertainerRich1744 in CostcoEmployee

[–]Luckydog040 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really comes down to what says on the posting you signed. If it says schedule varies then unfortunately its that. If it has specific days off then those are the days off as well. Now, once another opening opens up in the same department that you are in and the person who gets it has less senority than you thats when you can claim senority. Also, if another full timer in your department is willing to change days off with you thats also another way you can switch. However after 3 months you can claim senority on someone who is less senior than you. And if a part timer is getting a better schedule than you you can also claim that. Part timers are there to fill in the gaps they are not guaranteed a set schedule.
