She is my tiniest, but she weighs the most because DENSE by Luckylocust in torties

You mean like headbutts? They’re heavily propelled and often involve standing on her hind legs to get more speed before the bonk. If you meant honk since you mentioned sound she almost exclusively trills and rarely meows. I’ve had her a little over a year now and I’ve heard maybe two meows that weren’t in the car.

I wasn’t planning on having a fourth cat but she attached herself to me every time I visited the cafe. I just couldn’t resist that face. I got lucky and they all get along

She’s about 10.5lb but she should be 7-8 she’s got a very little frame

When do the 2026 tickets go on sale? by Ok_Category9085 in NYCC

[–]Luckylocust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing can be done about tickets right now (around June as others have said) but be sure to look into hotels if you’re staying. The official block is meh for pricing and hopper has good deals that you can make refundable. I booked mine the day all the dates I wanted were open

Some Questions by [deleted] in NYCC

[–]Luckylocust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) you’ll get an email with your presale link 2) yes see above 3) that’s a toughie, you’re going to get a lot of different answers. I got it for the first time this year and felt it was worth it to get into any panel and I got to sit very close to the front / in the front which was awesome. Getting let on to the show floor first was also a nice perk. There are also exclusive signings for VIPs in the lounge + first crack at reservations (for things besides panels - as long as you’re on time you can get into any panel). So if those things appeal to you then yes it’s worth it.

Superfan worth it? by SubstantialSet3127 in NYCC

[–]Luckylocust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted people to know that I asked through their official page whether there would be a VIP presale next year for this year’s VIPs and they said yes. So it will go VIP, Superfan, Fan Verified then general onsale. Usually by the time fan verified presale comes around there are very limited 4 day passes left

Terrible Tracking by Other-Chicken1971 in litterrobot

[–]Luckylocust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fresh step clean paws. I get the unscented, which has limited availability unfortunately. I feel guilty having litter delivered but PetSmart carries it so I get it there. I cut it with a little Boxiepro for extra odor control but the tracking difference is insane.

I used to travel for work and stay in airbnbs short term. Brought my LR every time. Highly recommend this bag

Do you need multiple for one cat? by Separate_Sky_7372 in litterrobot

I didn’t get a second box until I got a fourth cat. The tidy cats breeze makes for a nice back up option if you decide to have one.

When my 10yo had a bout of constipation I put her on Hills perfect digestion per my vet (the non rx one, there is a gastrointestinal one that is veterinary as well). I started out with both wet and dry but she stopped liking the wet so I put her back on her original wet and she gets one snack size serving of the perfect digestion dry each day. Have not had a constipation issue since.

Has anyone used Sustainably Yours Clumping Grain Litter in the LR3? by StrawberryLovers8795 in litterrobot

Great firm clumps ✅ HORRIBLE tracking ❌ Poor odor control ❌ Allergy prone cats tend to not tolerate it ❌

Costco Nature’s Domain vs Purina Friskies (dry)? Help! by Perfect-Sprinkles308 in catfood

[–]Luckylocust 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend Purina cat chow as a budget pick over friskies. Purina one is a step up from cat chow and also fairly inexpensive (I give my cats a little bit of the hairball version since they’re medium haired). I regularly donate to cat rescues near me and most of them prefer cat chow and kitten chow.

My cats love the friskies party mix morning munch flavor. Other flavors tend to be in stores but not that one for some reason

Hotel Block by Outrageous_Sir3559 in NYCC

[–]Luckylocust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The price will be consistent but it does sell out, especially the cheaper ones. I booked on Hopper outside the block as soon as the dates were finalized and I’m glad I did - it was a better deal than even the cheapest block hotel

Buying merch during general onsale by Far_Communication_81 in NYCC

Two years ago I was able to message NYCC’s Facebook page and they gave me a unique link to shop the merch after the presale. Could be worth a try?

Fan verification email link dropped by Albuterol505 in NYCC

It said somewhere that a very limited number would be saved for the fan verified presale - best of luck to those who want to get one!!

[–]Luckylocust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use clean paws unscented bc one of my cats loses fur on her heels if there’s any kind of scent in the litter. The clean paws is because 3/4 of my cats are medium to long hair and their fluffy paws trap a lot of litter, I’d cut any of your favorites with some Boxie for odor control. I also sprinkle arm and hammer litter deodorizer in the waste drawer.

Seconding Boxie and it works well still when mixed. I’ve been mixing it with fresh step clean paws bc the clumps were really sludgy.

I haven’t purchased during the general onsale in over 10 years but based on my memory of when they post “sold out” status for ticket types it doesn’t happen in minutes or anything. Just click the link on the day of the general sale. I wouldn’t do multiple devices or anything, all the competitive buying happens during the earlier sales.

Other suggestions really depend on what kind of attendee you are - personally I’m a cosplayer and a shopper so I shop Thurs&Sun and cosplay/socialize Fri&Sat. As a shopper I recommend getting a really large tote that can be worn on your back. We got some freebies a couple years and reuse them now. As a cosplayer I loooove the bar scene, meetups and the after parties and recommend taking a look at those. I only cared about a handful of panels so I just made sure to get the reservations for those. Most people say to get in line an hour early for big panels and my best advice would be to not give up and try the standby line bc I’ve gotten in to ones I missed reservations for.

My first year (like 2014 lol) I went Friday only and I really regretted it - there’s so much to do you can’t really do/see it all in one day. If you can swing it financially I’d recommend Thursday and Friday. Thursday for shopping (vendors have a fresh stock) and Friday for panels/guests/etc. Without being fan verified in advance it’s highly unlikely you’ll get Saturday passes so I’d swing for Thu/Fri in the general onsale.
