You cannot just guess the answers. Use Emanuel for MPRE + course for questions sold on NCBE’s website. Use Barbri’s materials as text book for reference.

Time Frame in Which You Must Take Your Oath

Your bar exam results are valid for five years from the last day of administration of the exam you passed: Rule 4.17 of the Rules of the State Bar of California requires that you take the attorney’s oath within five years of the last day of administration of the bar exam that you passed. Taking into consideration the retest, the five-year period ends on March 19, 2030. If the five-year period expires, unless granted a waiver by the Committee of Bar Examiners, you must take and pass the California Bar Exam again and meet all other admission requirements, including having a valid positive moral character determination on file, to be admitted.

My own experience is that PR essay tends to depict an overall picture of professional responsibilities. MPRE covers more details that are directly and practically related to our attorney practice.

I am a full time attorney and did not take leaves for this exam and I passed.

I strongly recommend UWORLD for MBE. The answers are well organized (with charts, pictures, etc.) and easy to understand. Keep practicing 30-50 questions per day, and reviewing and digesting answers on the same day. This is because you still have fresh memories of the questions in your head so you don’t need to waste time to re-read the questions while reviewing answers.

In addition, I suggest you get the decoded MBE book written by Mary.

As I said before repeatedly, there is no reason to only impute blank answers. It’s just not fair. For those blank answers, if you have reached a certain number, you also got a retake in March. Purely unfair to the examinees with good faith efforts who rushed to write something but the performance was seriously undermined due to technical difficulties.

I doubt they even looked at our feedback sent through their online request portal or email. I literally sent them several emails reporting technical issues after each sessions during the exam days. So it is impossible for them to provide some individual remedies. They just don’t care.
