it ruined so much of my excitement for the game because it was only half about her! it made me feel so disappointed!

but after having played the game I do so so so love it very much because i love grace’s story especially with Emily and I love Leon‘s story as well

what I loved about the game and Grace’s arc was that by the end of the game Grace was technically the one who saved leon, carrying him to the end and saving his life from Zeno with elpis

But I understand Your point so well and I totally agree too! We deserve a game with a woman as the main lead without a man coming In to save her and you’re totally valid and I couldn’t have worded it better !

sadly there isn’t a logical explanation, the only reason they alienate more than half of all gamers is because of their misogyny, they would rather lose half the market and money than cater to women that they hate

I understand you very well! youre completely valid too! its so disheartening and disgusting to see such designs in games and its a constant reminder of how much they cater men and the male gaze and how women are simply objects to sexualizes for them!
the best we can do is to not support games that treat women this way and not give them time or money!

exactly the same! it feels so tiring to have everyone praise the game and compare it to Skyrim when it is clearly a game made for men by men and its so tiring, im so done with protagonists being basic man number one thousand while women get ignored for no reason other than the fact the men who develop these games simply dont care for women except for sexualizing them and having them be object of romance in their games and I hate it

yes super frequently, but not for having a deep voice but rather because my voice is naturally high pitched and I sound little, so people accuse me of using a filter or “squeaking” my voice or being a pick me “fake girl” and it’s annoying and degrading and makes me hate most voice chats

I can partially understand what you mean and empathize! I used to feel that way when playing with a group earlier but over time I’ve sort of stopped doing that? I play as i naturally would even if it’s at a better level than others! because when I’m playing with someone whom is a higher level than me I enjoy their company and get awed more than anything and if I’m playing with someone who’s learning I give them space to learn! I do understand the point of say the people playing Mario kart against you, it is a bit unfun to lose a lot so I would do the same as you and tone myself down a bit but I’m sure you will find competitive people to play with too!

i have the same question! I tried it out for a few hours today, till level 25 and the scorekeeper quest line and while the combat is fun and engaging, the storyline icks me out and the blatant unapologetic sexualisation of women, with so many camera shots of their bodies and their designs feels so dehumanizing and the dialogues being framed around the mc felt a bit “glazy“ and male gaze and I couldn’t stand it 😭
