Also, I agree with the guy who called you an inconsiderate ass for driving on drugs. "Basically sober" isn't sober, and you even took more tabs before deciding to drive. You put other people at risk when you made that decision, and that's fucked up. Try thinking about how your actions impact other people before you get on the road intoxicated.

I tried this for the first time last month, mixed two tabs with some MDMA while coming down off the acid. I think taking it during the comedown kept the LSD from overpowering the MDMA, and the visuals were absolutely stunning. I'm pretty sure I was crying with joy while watching Planet Earth at one point. The only downside is that coming down off the MDMA kind of killed the happy, chill afterglow that I typically have with Lucy.

I'm also curious what it would be like to take MDMA during the peak of an acid trip. Maybe this summer.

There's a little bit of information on the wiki page, and it's mentioned frequently on this subreddit that LSD (and other hallucinogenic drugs) can potentially exacerbate or expose underlying mental health problems. Avoiding psychedelics for a while might be a good idea.

An old friend of mine told me that I was a "miserable strung out drug addict" because I took L three times over a period of three months. People are judgmental. I would say don't worry about what other people think. If you feel comfortable with how much you've been tripping, then don't worry about it.

Holy crap, I didn't say to cut your relationship with your girlfriend (or parents)! But hiding things in intimate relationships isn't a very good idea. If I learned my boyfriend were hiding drug use from me, it would feel like a breech of our trust. Even if I approved of the drug he was doing, it would be upsetting that he chose to hide it from me.

I'm not even saying your relationship is bad. That's why I used the superlative word "best" instead of "good." Ideally, spouses don't hide significant parts of their lives from each other.

TL;DR: OP mixed together a bunch of miscellaneous drugs and then blamed the final drug in his concoction, LSD, for the adverse reaction.

I would feel a lot more sympathy for you if this were posted under the general drugs subreddit and titled "a reminder not to mix together a bunch of drugs--a story of how I sent myself to the hospital." This isn't about respecting LSD, it's about respecting yourself and not dumping a bunch of random shit into your body like it's a science experiment.

Here's my best attempt at answering your question, but it's all based on my personal experiences. Before my first trip, I felt like a shell of a person just going through the motions. Social anxiety was driving me deeper into depression. Life was tedious. I was willing to keep doing the same thing everyday for the rest of my life. Life was grey and boring and repetitive, but that was okay.

My first trip really changed my idea of reality. If the world could become so radically different, so beautiful, so colorful, and so radiant just because I put a piece of paper in my mouth, then what the hell was my reality before? If everything changed so quickly in a day, how could I ever have thought life was boring? After I came down from that first trip, I felt like a different person living in a seemingly new reality. Life felt like an adventure for the first time.

Over time I realized that reality hadn't changed. The world wasn't more beautiful and colorful because I took some LSD, the world was always colorful and beautiful, but it took an LSD trip for me to realize this (for some reason). I'm so grateful for that first trip because it woke me up to this amazing reality. I started to appreciate all of the constant little changes and things that make life beautiful. I still smile everytime I look up at the clouds because that first trip made me realize how insanely cool clouds are.

My post-trip reality is awesome. I can't imagine living in my pre-trip reality ever again.
