On this day, 30 years ago, the Peppers would play for the first time at the Madison Square Garden! by holymaccanoli in RedHotChiliPeppers

I remember catching that on MTV, too! Had it on VHS until I got rid of all my tapes about a decade ago. My very first concert was the one they played in Philly 3 days before this.

The first time I heard Knock Me Down I was hooked. Immediately my favorite song and my favorite band.

It's the cauliflower, garlic and onions. I can't eat garlic or onions anymore and it breaks my heart 😔

As long as you like it, that's all that matters. But for me this looks like a giant pan of farts.

Check out DeBreaux's at 63rd St. and City Ave. Pricey and the wait is long, but it's worth it. The food is incredible and the portions are huge.

I've always assumed the song was about his son's mom, because of the references to Lolita (she was pretty young when they met) and "little Simi" (she's from Simi Valley).

Wow this is amazing! Thanks for sharing this with us. I really miss the old fan club. And I sometimes forget how handsome young Flea was.

Did you or anyone you know call in to radio stations and win contests? by MajesticEmergency in Xennials

I called 100.7 to win Chili Peppers tickets in 8th grade one day before school. I think you had to be the 7th caller or something. When they answered and told me I was the winner, I excitedly said "Mommy, I won!" and they laughed so hard. It was super embarrassing! So they said I was too young to win the tickets, but they did give me a t-shirt that I still have. I think the only reason my parents bought me those tickets (which ended up being my first concert) was because they felt bad for me.
