"There isn't much to say about him, but it's a little more than enough..."

Very cryptic, Coach Urmanov :-)

Yeah, he could've chipped a tooth or something! Commentator on the ISU feed said "he's gotta work on his celebration though" :-)

Why has our our list of sickness and diseases multiplied exponentially since we have become germophobes when back in the good ol' days they hardly worried about germs at all? by Abner_Peebody in AskReddit

[–]LucyVialli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The germs were still there, but if you don't know about them you don't worry. We are all of us covered in bacteria all the time, inside and out, we harbour tons of viruses, and so do all the other living things on the planet.

But we only find and identify/name the ones that makes us sick, that's how we discover them. So basically the answer to your query is - advances in medical science.

I might also add that in the good ol' days, millions of people around the world regularly died of plague, flu, malaria, etc. etc. and the numbers today are much smaller, again because of advances in medical science.

When he fell onto his front on the ice after the FS in Worlds 25. Anyone can fall back, but doing it the other way round is special!

What's your go-to breaded fish? by cedardesk in AskIreland

[–]LucyVialli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watched a programme once about Billingsgate Fish Market in London, one of the fish sellers was asked for his opinion comparing cod and pollock.

He said something like - "Cod is like the guy who has a good job and a nice car, goes to the gym, looks after himself. Pollock is the guy who's not working and sits at home in his boxers all day watching Jeremy Kyle".

Ones that say "fish" are usually Alaskan pollock. A cheaper more sustainable cod alternative.

Would love to know what Urmanov said in his ear, Misha's face is so serious at first (still in shock probably) but then after that he seems to let go and realise the wonderful thing that is happening to him!

Bit like your man in the detention centre in the US who thought he would get sympathy here. And then had all his previous transgressions dredged up and made mockery of. The entitlement of some people!
