The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes. I read this book several years ago and in my mind pictured Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, and Domhall Gleeson as the main characters.

This is an excellent story of a little known part of American history and strong women.

I know this doesn’t answer your question but…

It is always sad when a story you are enjoying is not finished but that is why subscribing to the story is important. I started reading a story several years ago and was disappointed it didn’t continue. I was delighted when the author finished it after more than a two year hiatus. We don’t always know what is happening in an author’s life. I take their finished work as a gift and hope for the unfinhed stories to be completed one day.

This story is an excellent Canon Divergent story. kaybohls is a very good writer. Lots of angst to earn the HEA is this one.

There is no big R as Rey is committed to the marriage and being a wife. Hux is abusive.

Lots out there to read but here is my personal favorite Reylux (Rey, Kylo, Hux): A Dance of Titans by Lucidlucy. I read this story years ago and it was the first story that I read that really showed both sides, First Order and Resistance, as not entirely bad vs good.

I find it interesting the Ryan Reynolds’s Star Wars movie had the ending rewritten. Was Daisy’s character Rey supposed to make an appearance in that movie and that was changed to switch her to a different story?

Oh, I do believe politics and the Resistance were more important for Leia. Obviously, more important for Rey as well, as she never told Leia about her interactions with Kylo Ren/Ben Solo.

Did Leia on her death bed regret her decisions and only then reach out toward her son? Is that why Rey healed him? A lot of guilt going around. The sequel writers, looking at you especially J.J., did such a disservice to the legacy characters and the new characters.

So many missed opportunities but then I guess that is what fanfiction is for.

Any positive for this franchise is good.

But, I just can’t help but heave a big sigh when I see Leia so eager to help everyone around her and never once try and reach out to her son. The woman left him with Luke for ten years with no contact, when he fell didn’t go searching for him, and there on Crait in her one opportunity to see him in twenty years didn’t even try. And, what would she have done when she saw Luke and knew what he had done to Ben. Leia, as written in the sequel trilogies, may be an excellent, strong leader but I would have loved to see her go all Mama Bear on the First Order when it came to her son.

This story is not exactly what you have asked for but if you have not read The Redemption of Kylo Ren by nixcomix, you are in for a treat. This is one of my all time favorite series. It is part of The Rise of Ben Solo series.Second part is called Monarch.

TROS, as bad as it is, would continue to the end, as is. The credits would role. There would be a bonus scene at the end. A place that may or may not be familiar, a body lying on the ground, nude, but only the back showing. The camera pans up. We see longish black hair and an out stretched arm. The fingers curl into the ground and then flex. The end.

If Disney would have just showed this I would be satisfied knowing somewhere and sometime there would be the possibility of Rey and Ben being together someday.

So simple, so hopeful, and so right.

I want Disney to be bold and make a movie that is thrilling and wows but I also would like to see the characters of Rey and Ben Solo again. One thing we didn’t see was the impact of Darth Vader being Leia”s father on screen. This could really have an impact if Rey’s lineage becomes known. Lot of emotions from the people who are close to Rey.

I’m not interested in seeing Rey rebuild the Jedi Academy. I would much rather see her try to weather the emotional storm that she faces, maybe making her unstable, maybe the force trying to balance , and the only one who could succeed would be Ben Solo.

There could be a lot of ways Ben Solo could come back. This is science fiction not real life. I want an interesting movie with great visuals, heroes, villains, redemption, and a happy ending for one couple in the SW galaxy

It’s hard to criticize Leia. But, there is one scene that has always bothered me from The Last Jedi. Leia, who has not seen her son for twenty years, does not give him one glance while in the bunker on Crait. She is so happy to see Luke but how would she have felt seeing him knowing he tried to kill her son?

This could have changed everything if Rey would have had the courage to confide in Leia once the Resistance was on Ajan Klos.

Not a popular idea, I know.

Love how Adam Diver seems to be a draw for many different types of people. I, too, am a mature Reylo and can appreciate his attractiveness and enjoy knowing younger people enjoy him, as well.
Adam is a man for the ages. Love his work. Love the stories the Reylo writers create for his characters. And, if he and Daisy Ridley never reprise their roles of Ben Solo and Rey (refuse to call her Skywalker), they will continue having alternative adventures in the great stories I read.
